Track days are free for anyone who wants to spectate, dogs are allowed but must be kept leashed.
You should come and check out some really awesome racing when SOAR is at Grand Bend. The next race weekend is Sept 12-13.
Given the number of people who have already signed up, there will likely be 2 groups at the most (slow and fast).
The best way to make it happen is to pre-register. They only need a few more riders to run the evening. If they don't get the minimum number of riders, they will refund your money...
Anyone looking to squeeze in some track time, Grand Bend's got a few dates before summer ends. We're planning on being there for sure this Thursday for the evening :)

Hope to see you all there!
Since the racing season is done, keep an eye out for a good solid ex race bike with a stock motor/minimal motor work. They usually come with all the goodies, and it's cheaper than buying the extras later on. Even if you don't need them, sometimes it's just nice to have.
The SOAR racers on this forum are only a small fraction of the racers who come out every weekend. Sarcasm doesn't come across well on this forum, but they are joking around with each other. Don't let it stop you from coming out. Once you come out to a round, you'll see that the "elitist racer...
There are 6 rounds over the course of the season. If you're chasing a championship, (i.e. Rookie) you should do all six rounds of the same class. Some people go after multiple championships, so they try to do all rounds of those classes.
Also, don't forget your gear. You'll need a helmet that's...
Unless Grand Bend adds more trackdays to their schedule, looks like it may be the last chance to ride this track this year. Not sure if you can register to ride the Friday as well, since it's the SOAR practice day. Maybe contact Kneedragger88 (Ken) to find out for sure?
It's going to be Long...
LOL, no Rookie for you then!
You sound like a perfect candidate for the Old Boys Class :) Which is another 600cc only class. Buckland occasionally runs this class as well.
For racing next year, I'm assuming you would enter in the Rookie Class. The rules dictate that you can only run a 600cc max bike, which is more than enough at Grand Bend.
You can also run your 600 in Novice 600 Extreme, Superbike and Open. Where as the 750 would limit you to Superbike and Open...
The worst part was actually was when Scott Rupert looked too long at Drew in the beans and thought "DREW!! Are you OK?" and ran off in the grass, made it back onto the track and lost the front trying to rejoin the race. He broke his gear shifter and was stuck in 5th gear for the rest of the race.
Why not try something different? I found it beneficial to try as many different tracks you can. The reverse Screaming Alien circuit is a real treat, since they don't run it too often.
Grand Bend is a great facility. A huge asphalt pit area, city water, and a dump station for your trailer. You...
