Thanks for the info Venom,
Looks like I don't qualify, just turned 27 and licensed for 5 years. Yah things are getting ridiculous here, as if 27 isn't old enough to get a good rate on a slow as hell bike... something is wrong here. I'm pretty sure I could insure an SS for as much as this...
Any update on this in regards to Dalton Timmis restrictions for classic insurance? I took my '79 KZ400 off the road last year because it would have been $1065 liability only through Jevco (my Ninja 650R is $900 for full coverage with TD Meloche Monnex), would love to get this thing back on the...
That's odd because I rode the Ninja 1000 this summer at one of their demo days and I only had an M2 at the time. I booked that ride ahead of time. Loved the bike, hopefully when I'm ready to move up there will be some used ones around.
I just replaced mine with a Michelin Pilot Road 2, never read a bad review of the tire and some guys are getting huge mileage out of them. So far so good, seems nice and grippy even in this cold.
+1, I think the best part of my 650R is the low end grunt, loves getting to speed quickly, but at the same time it's most comfortable cruising at about 130km/h and settles in nicely there.
As for price of the 400's used I've yet to see one listed for less than $5500, whereas I've seen 650's...
I loved going WOT all the time on my 250 too, kept if for 4 years because I didn't think I needed more. Finally picked up a 650R this year for commuting and such, so much more comfortable, perfect usable power, suspension and brakes are fine for anything you can throw at it in Ontario.
I rode...
When I used to commute my cut off would be low of -1 C, couldn't pass up the gas savings. It was miserable, but now I have better gear and it's a pleasure, that's the biggest thing. If you have heated grips and fully windproof gear everywhere it's not bad.
Hey guys looks like weather will be decent this weekend, and for once I don't have any tests on Monday. Sooo my plan is to head North (or East or both) and just eat as many miles as I can. Thinking I'll leave Saturday and crash somewhere that night, head back Sunday.
Want good roads, sights...
The 400R is more to buy in most cases than the 650R (used 650R is considerably cheaper than the new 400Rs), and for me the 400R and 650R with Jevco were the same price for insurance. It was a no brainer for me, I love my 650R.
I went from a Ninja 250 to my 650R this year after 4 seasons on the 250. The first time I rode it home I was shocked at what a beast it was lol, couldn't believe people consider it a beginner bike. Then I realized I was still revving the piss out of it like my 250 lol, if you take it easy it...
Yes they do, 30k is nothing, go to ninja250.org and see what some of these people have on them. I had 30k on mine all put on by me when I sold it, did valves every 12k and all other maintenance and she ran like a top.
My favourite by far of all the various disposables that I've used are these http://earplugstore.stores.yahoo.net/peneskscean3.html

My sister used to be in ergonomics and used these in a lot of factories, they're reusable and washable. Best part is how...
Unsure of the brand, seems pretty protective and covers a lot of area, I just never seem to wear it.
I work at Mississauga Rd. and the 401, live in Guelph. Can meet anywhere in between.

Helmet looks almost brand new, never dropped, some stone chips here and there. Snell and DOT approved. Rarely worn, got it as a spare but wore my flat black Shoei mostly, sold my blue bike so she's gotta go. Nice graphics and the Blue really changes colour with different light.
