Holy, whoever posted this has a wicked sense of humour. LOL
The OP is right there is a white rasta dude there who usually wears a bandanna. I was there about 5 weeks ago for the first time. BTW, which one is TED. The dudes there are quite funny.
Yes, Pannon use to carry Shark however Pannon is no longer around. It doesn't seem like any stores in the GTA carry a broad selection of Shark helmets. Most stores that carry Shark only have one or two models.
You: looked like an orange GSXR-600 with no decals on the 407 west bound @ around 11:00 a.m. Rider had a Shift jacket and black helmet. The rider was very safe and travelling at a within-the-law speed.
Me: in my car wishing I was you as the weather today was perfect for riding!
Ride safe...
RIP, very sad :(. That area of Brampton is very congested and many people are just in too much of a rush or not paying attention. Many riders gather at the Bovaird and McGlaughlin Tim Hortons, very close to home.
What this guy ^ said is so true ... First year I rode, I only wore regular jeans, jacket, helmet and gloves. Now, I wear Kevlar jeans with knee and shin protection underneath. If buying riding pants they've got to fit well or the armour underneath won't protect you.
Dasiffy, glad you passed your course. My advice is to get a Ninja 250 2008/2009. If you look hard you can pick one up for $3500 or so. Good luck!

For a 250r I would save your money. Not sure what your plans are but you might end up upgrading in a year or two. Most people that buy from you if/when you decide to sell would like it stock.
Yes Proficient Motorcycling by David Hough is an outstanding book. By reading it a lot of what he preaches in the book is tattooed to your brain. A must read for all riders.
Took the M2X with RTI a few weeks prior and must say it was a great experience. Took it in Toronto and did the same route that you captioned. Congrats :D
Hello all, there are a lot of U.S. bikes being sold here in the GTA which were purchased from auctions in the U.S. and imported here. My question is for those whom have purchased such a bike from a dealer here, did you have any issues trying to sell the bike after a few years? Any pros and cons...
She'll go from a zero to a hero. As per everyone else, no real need for lessons before the course. Are you anticipating her having problems, she may surprise you!
A lot of misconceptions in this thread around helmet quality and safety. Please check out this website where they rate helmets.

Agreed, super sport probably not the best starter bike. However, it's your choice. Yes the R6 seems to have the highest seat. To the-falcon if you are 6' 1" you should be able to flat foot it no problem.
