just came back from cali. rented a multistrada and headed to the hills. every conceivable bike known to man is there. the cafe racers have a huge following there. everyone has a ducati. Lane splitting is allowed, and respected by drivers. Without lane splitting you would be going nowhere...
new to track but a dumb question...what tires do i use. will not be racing the first year, but do i need slicks.
i have metzler m5 on my road which the center is starting to wear. my put those on the track and buy new
road.

Well after pissing around all summer. Jumped on a thrashed 2001 R6. Picked up cheap. Needs some work but that's what I wanted. Started ordering parts. Will try a d maximize stock parts till I gain some confidence out there. Looking to some insight and knowledge from GTAM.

I kinda agree with roasted. First day out would be cruise on the track and slowly build confidence. With a family I don't have the time for classes. I have an older bike and not concerned about damage.
i learn better by trial and error.
