    VFR 800 opinions?

Damn I'll have to look into this...I knew the valve checks were necessary but I had no idea they cost THAT much!

    VFR 800 opinions?

I picked up an 03 this year and am loving it. Great all around bike. If you're planning on doing any touring look for one with the factory side bags included. It's a sports tourer, so it's more on the heavy side compared to today's sports bikes...if you plan to communte and do long rides on...

Sunday Evening on the 401 Thru Toronto

I was heading east around 8:30 and I bet it was the same 6 guys who passed me. I could care less what others do or how they ride, except in this case I was in the fast lane, doing appropriate speed for the lane, when I saw the lights in my mirrors....before I could react the first a-hole with...

    Jerky on/off throttle control?

yeah from the manual and VFR forums I figured it out...but even I can't tighten it any more ot reduce the slack...I know I had the 'moon' wrench thing in right because I was able to loosen it to create more slack, but when i turn it the other way it stops..and there is just too much slack - I'm...

    Jerky on/off throttle control?

I adjusted the thotte slack easily enough...a simple lock bolt and adjuster...I can play around with it tomorrow and get it to my likeness.. Bigger problem is the chain...I just checked the slack and I can pull it up and down so much it touches the swing arm....also it lines up with the...

    Jerky on/off throttle control?

I really appreciate all the feedback guys. Brian P, I especially like your post. I'm going to look at all these things from the simplest things first. I agree the bike is more powerful and I am very careful to 'feather' the clutch and throttle, with some success...but it really feels like an...

That was crazy cool last night!!!

I got caught in a Thunderstorm once in Northern Ontario on a cross country trip, near Dryden...was the scariest 5 KM riding of my life, out in the middle of nowhere, miles from civilization...no malls or gas stations to take refuge in...lightening all around me, no visibility...dark (night)...

    Jerky on/off throttle control?

Hi, I have owned an EX500 and Katana 600 in the past. Have lots of riding experience, so I don't think this is a rider issue. Am now on an 03 VFR, my first fuel injected bike. Am having a hard time controlling the throttle smoothly in low gear, low speed scenarios, like hair pins or 90 degree...

Cheapo ($50) Stereo bluetooh headset and intercom review (deal extreme)

Mine was working great but now I lost stereo and voice...first, it would only play sound out of one earphone..it did the same with my iphone earbuds but if I jiggled them around it would work with both, so the problem was with the connector...no amount of jiggling would help with the headset...

Givi case - lock rreplacement help please.

Thanks, if I am going to be in Guelph I'll PM you! I popped by GP Bikes today and they said they can order one for only $17, but he is going to confirm on Monday hoe long it will take.. Sorry I wasn't clear in my original post - the case is not locked, I had no problem removing the existing...

Givi case - lock rreplacement help please.

Hi, I just bought a used e460 givi case. I got a great deal considering the cost of this case brand new...but the catch is he couldn't find the key for the lock. Was looking for help from anyone whose had to replace the lock/key. Givi shows it as a spare part for $20, so cost is...

Cheapo ($50) Stereo bluetooh headset and intercom review (deal extreme)

Oh forgot to mention, as a bonus, somehow the placement of the headphones in my helmet seem to have eliminated the 'whistling' I would get in my helmet, when I hit anything over 20. I already reduced it by using sound damping foam, but this seems to have shuffled things around enough to...

Cheapo ($50) Stereo bluetooh headset and intercom review (deal extreme)

Well I jumped on the bike and puttered around Ajax and tested the unit. I called my daughter as I was ready to start and she said I sounded fine (no speed). I could her her just fine. As I rode off she didnt' even notice I was moving, and I continued to hear her just fine. Reached speeds of 60...

Cheapo ($50) Stereo bluetooh headset and intercom review (deal extreme)

Would they sound better with in ear headphones? Has anyone found a set of earbuds with a connected mic that work with this unit? If you connected similar headphones to your ipod directly and listen to music I imagine they wouldn't sound as good as earbuds, because of the background noise? I'm...

Cheapo ($50) Stereo bluetooh headset and intercom review (deal extreme)

Velcro sounds like a pretty good idea and I have some left over from a project I did last week using the same concept - cheap iphone case velcro to my small tank bag... I'll try that instead of crazy glue if it comes to it....at least it would be easier to remove the residue if it doesn't...

Cheapo ($50) Stereo bluetooh headset and intercom review (deal extreme)

Mine arrived yesterday from Hong Kong after the expected 4 or 5 weeks. I tested it in the house and so far it seems to work ok. I mounted it in the helmet and tested calling someone and it worked well. My helmet has little inserts for these types of units headphones so positioning wasn't a...
