Consider the Vulcan 900 Classic / Custom. I have a classic, and it's my first cruiser, so I am biased but people who own them seem to love them. They are good all around bikes.

Try to avoid the middle to right lanes, to many people merging on and off. Some idiots cut across three lanes because they forgot where their exit is or just get frustrated with traffic and decide its time to get off in a hurry, others don't know what an acceleration lane is for and can't merge...

I remembered that you posted this clip when I was riding from Renovo to St.Mary' at dusk in heavy rain feeling miserable, wet, cold with poor visibility and no safe place to take shelter! Except for a poor decision to not stay in Renovo before that run, I had a great time!

I have the week off and am looking to do an over night trip, ride all day, one night in a hotel, get back the next night. From GTA. I'm not looking for sites, just decent roads and scenery, maybe some curves, but I'm on a Vulcan so not looking for knee dragging corners. I prefer 80KP/h roads...

People get friendlier the further east you go :) I try not to speed too much on my trips as it really ruins everything...now I'm on a cruiser so that won't be an issue...

I used trans canada to get there - very boring, and Quebec roads or horrible and will destroy your tires. I rode back through the states, entering in NB, through Maine, Vermont - no interstates and much nicer! If I had to go back it will be through the US route...

I've owned a Kawasakii ex500, katana 600, VFR800, and am now on a kawasaki Vulcan. The Vulcan definitely feels more planted in cross winds. Weight and low seat height.
