    Speed Traps

Re: Radar Zone - bayview & steeles They have been sitting in that spot for a few years and yes it's quite sneaky as the speed limit drops to 50 and it's wide open. When going southbound they sit on the side street about 3/4 of the way up the hill. Going northbound they sit in the driveway to St...

    Where to buy Yoshimura exhaust

I love the 600 RR. Just sold mine. My only complaint was there isn't a decent fender eliminator available. I went with the R and G racing eliminator which I found was the best option. Tripage light is nice but it's easily obscured by the pipe.

What's up with the prices of used bikes? (esp. the older 2000-2005)

I always ask on the phone what's the best price they're willing to accept. This at least gives you an idea if its worth the drive. If you do your research you generally have an idea of what the bike is worth. If seller is way off then don't bother even going. If price seems reasonable and the...

Need a light 'street legal' dirt bike... Any advice?

I am not aware of any manufacturer that makes a street legal 2 stroke. I suppose there are some really old dual sports that were street legal from the factory but that must be going back to late seventies early eighties .

Need a light 'street legal' dirt bike... Any advice?

Really ? How are they managing to do this ? I know before the rules changed people were doing it. If I thought I could do it I would pick up a new KTM 250 2 stroke and lic it

Need a light 'street legal' dirt bike... Any advice?

I was about to say it would be hard to find a blue plated 2stroke and then the next post someone has one for sale. Would buy it myself if I didn't already have a bike

    XR200 or CRF230

One of the problems you will find with the 125 and 250 MX bikes is that there is a lot of beat on junk out there. If you find a clean one snap it up before someone else does.

    XR200 or CRF230

It's not necessarily about the cc's. Ride a CR125r and then a CRF230 and tell me which one is faster (and more fun) I have owned both. the 230f I didn't even keep for the summer. It's a nice bike for putting around on but you will most likely tire of it quickly. Then again if that's what you...

    kx build

Are you sure it's 100db ? I got stopped in the Ganny 2 years ago on my CR 125 with completely stock can and I am pretty sure he said it read 96db and he told me I was right at the max allowable limit. Then again I may be remembering incorrectly.

    Ready KTM ?

I heard snow city cycle tried to get Honda back about a year ago and they said no. I didn't think it would ever come to this but I wouldnt buy a new Honda just because of the limited availability of dealers. Pretty sad. They make great bikes although a little overpriced.

    Ready KTM ?

Anyone heard of this dealer in mississauga ? Looks like it used to be a Honda dealer. They don't even show up on KTM Canada web site so I am guessing they must be new.

    Getting started dirt biking

I have owned quite a few mx bikes and have never bought one without an ownership. This includes both new and used. Why would you take the risk ? Not worth it in my opinion. If i call about a bike and there is no ownership i move on. I have seen a few threads on here about people who have bought...

    Getting started dirt biking

Don't buy a bike without ownership. Who knows if it's been stolen. Plus there are hundreds of bikes for sale with ownership. Unless its a screaming once in a lifetime deal why go through the hassle.

    Getting started dirt biking

You will get lots of opinions but here is mine. 2 Strokes are very cheap to maintain and for your size and weight a 125 would be fine. You will be extremley suprised at how fast a 125 2 stroke is.The power comes on like a light switch. Guaranteed to make you grin. There is a big difference in...

So, who's going to be riding a new bike come spring?

Thats by far the nicest looking bike I have seen. Very unique. Would love to have one. Love the color scheme as well. Congrats. You may get tired of all the admirers everytime you stop.

    Parker brothers close shop

Re: Parker Bros. - done A few people have mentioned that the smaller shops can't compete with the bigger shops like GP bikes. GPbikes wasn't always big. They started off very small only selling used bikes in a strip mall. The question is more like is it possible to make a sustainable living...
