    West Virginia

Absolutely! 219 is so much more fun than the interstate slab runs.. at least in the mountains. It's sweepy, twisty and well laid out. If there is one criticism I have of 219 it would be the need to plant grass on the shoulders or pave the damn things!! Lemme explain!! Every 18 wheeler drags...

    Biker Friendly...?

Normally, bikers who pass through small towns are in "tour" mode. Of course, the environment or "small town" has to be somewhat attractive to bikers. Sweeping roads, twisties, roads by vistas and all that stuff. So, if there are significant worthy sights, LIKE PENNSYLVANIA HIILS, then those...

time to take a ride to Pennsylvania again....

Coudersport is a great location with great roads south, east and west. Not sure why route 6 to Scranton is a desire.(some call Scranton the armpit of the area) I avoid route 6 like the plague. Lumber and produce trucks and all the rest of east/west traffic uses route 6. Study this site well...

    BMW Bikes?

For what it's worth, the last chain drive I had was a 1973 Honda CB450. All 6 bikes since have been shaft drive. Never had a $$BMW - all Japanese bikes and all reliable as heck.

    Dear construction worker...

Not to mention that said construction worker was just participating in the Tim Horton's Ontario cultural practice of throwing the cup on the ground - usually out of a car of pickup window.

PA or Quebec? - (4 days)

Grew up in Quebec - moved here when I was 42 - so I know of which I speak (write) PA roads are far superior and countryside south of HWY 6 is laced with a network of vistas and roads which can have you going east west south and north without ever being on the same road! Google Maps will show...

Time for a Ride to Penn Hills

I don't take pictures of places I've already been to. I also can't upload pictures to this site. I used to have a web page where I composed a bunch of story boards back in the day. Alas, lost the web site and am now with Rogers who give nothing. If you know of a FREE place to send pictures...

    anyone like riding solo?

Local riding is always solo, as in "I'm going for a ride." It's a ride. I leave home, head up to the country roads I enjoy and return home. No stops. No coffee nor chat. Strictly solo. Unfortunately, I sometimes have to fill 'er up! LOL Distance riding over 3 to 5 day rides - I'm good...

test drivers on your bike for sale?

I sold 5 of my bikes since 2000. Guy can sit on, start, rev and listen to the engine. He is unfortunately unable to ride it because the insurance is expired and there's no plate. He also should have a full "M" or I don't want to sell to him. Next! Why? I am selling a bike, not hand...
