Seems to me that everyone has given you wise advice - except the comedians with rockets and marbles.
Think about it - you want to live and you want to enjoy the ride. Stay out of trouble and trouble spots. Also, stay out of the way and no one will be able to "cut you off."
Generally, the...
Suggest you change your oil before storage. Used oil is full of acids that during a long rest - 3 months of winter, simply EAT away at your metals.
No need to change oil after the winter. It's as clean as it was in the fall.
If you store a bike at a dealer... make sure the oil is changed...
You may be right, but guess what? All those idiots in their 18 wheelers who get stuck on US 129 claim they were following Rand McNally.

LOL!
Folks... 666 is just ... umm, maybe ok. I went there a few years ago expecting the road to reveal the "devil's dirties!" I mean, route 666 in a bible thumping area of Pennsylvania. have you had a look at the names of the towns from 219 east to 15?
Anyway, I was extremely disappointed. Stayed...
People may want to go, but can't arrange it with your timing. Try in May!
Try in June, July August and even September or October.
We had two or three nice weeks - but get ready for April showers and the last few years have seen many days of rain in West Virginia and Tennessee - many floods -...
Had a 2002 Vstar Classic 1100 until 2008. Excellent ride in the twisties - very very tight. A buddy had a Roadstar ('04) and it was a pig except on the 400 series. Buddy had his bike "ported" to give him a little more "ummph" because it was so slow to react in the hills.
Honda Shadows etc...
Old man here. Interesting thread that appears every year, and of course it'll appear again next year.
1. Buy a big magnet and fix it to the bottom of your bike. It will trip the sensor.
2. Stubborn - no magnet? Then wait reasonable time - a normal cycle - then when CLEAR proceed and...
Shootin' from the hip eh?
Stop... think.
Everyone knows size doesn't matter!
Instead of your superiority complex, try to develop a more welcoming attitude. He wants someone to ride his new bike home for him - so he's not an idiot. I'm sure he is capable of riding it like a 250 until he gets...
I would not recommend the St. Lawrence/riviere de Loup route. The American route is my preference. Gas prices, food prices, beer prices, no political or cultural hang-ups - need I say more? Oh yeah - the weather is simply nicer!
What would make the St. Lawrence/riviere de Loup route woth it...
I spend time in every town I visit finding out about it's history and culture - usually from locals and the library. Renovo was so named because the town became a center of renewing steam locomotives. Notice, as you enter town from the west end on 120 - directly in front of you are the remains...
At my age, I don't camp anymore - but I warn you of something!
Stop riding when it's still light!
Back in 1973, my brother and I were riding to Toronto and Niagara falls from Montreal in late August.
Our plan:
1. Stay in farmer's fields
2. Eat fresh corn on the cob! We both loved that...
This may not be the year...
April, May and even June have been so wet and rainy in the American states south of Ontario the last 4 or 5 years. Like some real flooding, bridges out in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Interstates are fine - they are built to military specs - but no fun to ride...
While waiting to see if anyone showed up, I met a guy who left his bike for storage. I even gave it some consideration, but decided to take off - it was cool, but comfortable. Went up to Stouffville - had an AW Grandma burger and then continued up north.
It was getting overcast by 2:00 and...
Hmmm.... maybe last ride before I park the bike.
I'll be passing by the Markham Honda dealer on Highway 48 / Bur Oak at 11:00 am jus to see if there is anyone who wants to go for a ride. I'll pull in to Markham Outdoor Power at 11:00 am and we'll decide then where we ride.
Possibilities...
Bugging cameras - I have no clue. Avoiding tolls? Easy take hwy 7 Lame ***
I can just imagine your reaction when the gum or candy machine eats your quarter! LOL!
Oh, BTW, there's no such thing as a moral issue. Just moral people.
Yuppers - That's it. Quite a well documented story. Same as the old paper mill, the ruins of which still remain.

I second his recommendation. 872 is a wonderful ride and make sure you stop at Austin. Head into the town and explore the ice cream shop - excellent pictures of Austin during the flood that destroyed the town. Ensure you take some time to inspect the dam that broke - great place for pictures...

You can see the roads at the above link. It's not intended to be a sporty route. If you like water falls, this road will present you with God's pastime.
Ohhhh good Gawd!!
Is there no other life on 219 than Ellicotville??
I have never seen so many people, cars, pedestrians and gawkers than in an attempt to get through Ellicotville. It almost ruined 5 perfect days of riding from the GTA, to West Virginia and Pennsylvania... on the way home -...
