    Leslieville rides? Anyone?

Wondering if anyone does semi-regular rides in leslieville or east-end Toronto? Not seeing much on the board, but I have seen groups rolling down Eastern Ave. frequently the last couple of summers (and of course, near a Tim Hortons). I'd be interested in joining, if such a group exists. Cheers, R

Criss-cross pattern for removing cylinder head cover bolts?

Hi all, I am trying to remove the cylinder head cover on a Suzuki Savage LS650 (2000), but I am not 100% sure what the criss-cross pattern would be. I don't want to warp the cover. Any insight appreciated. I have attached a picture of the cover. Thanks!!

    Leslieville Mechanic/Service?

SLaP, you are good! Yes, I saw the piece on the Suzukisavage forum... not sure if I can do it as a newbie, but I was thinking it would be a good learning experience, as long as I can keep the engine in the frame. I just need to order the parts and hope that this is the issue I am experiencing...

    Motorcycle towing.

I just wanted to say that I had Toy Hauler ('infernobuster'?) pickup, deliver, and cert my bike for $180, a few weeks back. It was quick, easy, and he was very pleasant to deal with. I would highly recommend him to anyone - hands down!!! (www.thetoyhauler.ca)

    Leslieville Mechanic/Service?

Yes - 2000 Suzuki LS650 Savage. I can't find anything in the hood. The closest seems to be Heavy Duty Cycle on Kingston (anyone have any experience with them?). I am just looking for a tune-up and investigation into what I believe is a plug leak in the cylinder head (there is a little bit of oil...

    Leslieville Mechanic/Service?

Just wondering if anyone knows someone in the Leslieville area that performs repairs, maintenance, etc.? I saw another posting from a couple of years ago talking about 109cycle, but perhaps something has popped up since then? It is not exactly close (that would be a long walk home...). Thanks!

Bowl vent hose attached to my petcock vac port!?

Thanks both of you! I did not have the Service Manual and page 202 confirms that the petcock is indeed connected incorrectly. I guess they just stuck a free hose onto the vacuum port thinking it was the correct one. Anyhow, I will change the setup in the morning and hopefully all works as it should.

Bowl vent hose attached to my petcock vac port!?

Hello... as of last week, I now have a 2000 Suzuki Savage 650. The bike only starts with the petcock in Prime (On and Res will not start, or stall quickly after if I primed ahead). It seems like something is likely wrong with the vacuum to the petcock. I looked more closely, and one of the two...
