    M2 exit course and test

I see your points above. motorcycling, like any other activity, is an ever learning activity. No class can prepare you for all the scenarios you will encounter and you in your life will not see it all. In my haste to finish the post and submit it ( I was leaving work for the day), I may not...

    M2 exit course and test

I started on my bike in stages. 2 months after I did my M1 exit course, I bought a bike, i knew I wasn't ready to commute to work (25km one way through city traffic). Rode it every night after I got home from work and early morning on weekends. Started out in my neighbourhood, small streets...

I just read up on what level 1 and level 2 include. I am intrigued. Something worthwhile for this or next season.

    M2 exit course and test

Thanks for the info, i'll certainly look into these courses. Total control sounds like the one to take, i'll look at the curriculum. It is really not just about passing the test, I am confident that i will when the time comes. I want more skills, I want to use whatever bike I have, now and in...

    M2 exit course and test

I think the general consensus is that additional expert instruction is beneficial and i am all for that; unless you're a young bird and still think you're indestructible. What I wanted to know, and I think it has been answered, is whether the M2 exit course is worthwhile or if there are other...

    M2 exit course and test

Thanks for the input guys. I wasn't concerned with passing. By the time I am ready to take the test I will have ridden several thousand kms, hopefully. I was more interested in knowing whether the course will teach any insight into defensive driving, maneuvers or techniques to improve riding...

    M2 exit course and test

Is this a worthwhile course to take or is simply going to the ministry, book a date for the test sufficient? Is there another more worthwhile course that will teach more than the M2 exit course? I would appreciate your input on what courses are available for motorcycle riding (to improve...

advice on how to ride through different road conditions.

Back in November I was riding and came upon a segment of road that was being resurfaced. They had scratched the road to lay new asphalt, I slowed and went on it. Needless to say, the rear end was sliding everywhere, I felt several times like I was going to go down. Now, can you guys give me...

    BMW owners movement!

I saw the 700 at the show, it is simply a beautiful bike.

    Which tires would you recommend

That's a disheartening thread. That thread stopped in 2011, I hope the issues have been dealt with (the ones I bought were manufactured end of the third quarter of 2012. I am stuck with the decision to return them and buy another (pay shipping costs) brand or keep them and hope for the best and...

    Bike purchase

Congrats on the purchase. I also bought a 250 for my first bike and it is excellent for city traffic; I've only been on the highway once and was cruising effortlessly at 120 (I am 200 lbs). Good luck on the course.

    Which tires would you recommend

One of the early responders to this thread made a point that stuck in my head. with the weight and power of a 250, most tires would be more than sufficient; I thought that was a valid statement. For some reason I also had confidence in the UK review, hence the purchase of the Avons.

    BMW owners movement!

when I get to that stage, where I think I can handle a large dual purpose bike, I'll definitely try all that is available but I really like the look of the BMWs in the pic.

    BMW owners movement!

Wouldn't mind doing some touring around Canada, a little bit of off-road. I ride a 250 now, just started riding, and will work towards the bigger bikes and i hope one of these BMWs will be in my future.

    Which tires would you recommend

Based on that UK review, I decided to get the Avon AM26 road rider. I hope I didn't go wrong. Picked them up from Canadasmotorcycle.ca for about $228 + tax (front and rear)

I'd like to work towards one of these two i saw at the show on the weekend. I'll surely join the movement then.
