Get a WR250r, it rocks!! I was at the ganny this weekend and it performed very well for me. The sand was a bit sketchy at times, but i'm wondering if that is the tires. I absolutely love mine. great bike in the city too.

I've been riding the diamond lane ALL along Eglinton as well, but I'm curious about what the rules are for those sections.

That's exactly like what I'm talking about! There is no motorcycle on the signs, but all diamond lanes within Toronto city are open for bikes, right? That is what I understand from what I've heard.

Does anyone know the rule on roads within the city (eg: Eglinton) that have diamond lanes, but do not show a motorcycle on all the signs? I figure it should be fine to ride because it's no different than where the motorcycle is on the sign at other parts of the same street. Know what i mean...

So, i went for a ride today and decided to go up to Brock and Whitevale rd area. I didn't find where the Pickering Pits are supposed to be. Anyone know exactly where it is?

I heard the pickering pits are closed off. Has anyone been there recently?

I've been in the same itch as you avsjack. But i have not found anything near Toronto. let me know if you do. Maybe we can ride together. I got my WR250 a few months ago. I have been to the ganaraska only once, and on some back roads a few other times. Like you, I need some more dirt as well.

No guarantees, but I'll see what's up this weekend. Is it the last one there this year?

Re: New guy needs dirty friend. Ya, i was reading your post about that. I was thinking of going with my son (renting a bike for him) and check it out someday. He's itching to learn to ride. I know they give a lesson to new riders as well.
