Quick Shifter. how does it work?

I'm looking at a picture of a factory quick shifter and the claim is that it allows for faster more precice shifts without the clutch. How? I don't see anything on the kit that connects to the clutch mechanisms. How does this thing work?

The KR-GT1 --? The KR stands for Keanu Reeves... This guy is living the dream.

Reeves will do fine with his motorcycle company. People in LA love celebrity. Many will buy a KR simply to have something that associates them in some way to a star. Reeves is worth more than Brad and Angelina put together and keeps putting out movies. He's doing something right. I wish him well.

Why We Ride -- The Movie now available on Amazon & Google

http://vimeo.com/75545684 I saw this movie about a week ago and I'd recommend it to any motorcycle rider. The whole movie is very inspiring and takes motorcycle riding to almost a religion! I loved the music as well. The good news is that you can now buy it on amazon or google (online)...

2014 Honda VFR800 OR Kawasaki Ninja 1000 ABS (not the 'R' Ninja).

I'd love to see a 30lb lighter vfr with 1000 cc, inverted front forks, multiple levels of traction control, a more upright seating position and all the rest of the bells & whistles it already has. That would be a no brainer for me if it had a competative price. Who does Honda's customer...

2014 Honda VFR800 OR Kawasaki Ninja 1000 ABS (not the 'R' Ninja).

FYI... With the current rebates, the 2 bikes are within $500 of each other. Insurance on the Ninja is about $250 higher per year. I prefer the sound of the Honda V4 engine over that of the inline 4 but that is subjective. I think the 2 bikes are made for different people. The older...

2014 Honda VFR800 OR Kawasaki Ninja 1000 ABS (not the 'R' Ninja).

I've always been a fan of the VFR but I recently started to look into the Kasawaki Ninja 1000 ABS and it's a really nice offering! Some things I know off the top of my head: VFR800 => 780cc, V4, Heated Grips, Traction Control, center stand, VTEC, about 30lbs heavier than the Kawi, Hard...

Honda Rebates -- Will they get better in the coming months?

I see Honda has a rebate promotion on some 2014 models. I'm interested in 2 of the models currently with promotions. I'm sure inventory will run out or the promotions will end for the next riding season so I'm looking for a good deal but wonder if I should wait for a few months to see what...

    Art??

Well... As some art, it evokes emotions in me. I'd like to slap him up side the head for doing that to the motorcycles. WTF -- what's next? Children?

Where to find Motorcycle invoice prices? Is there a Car Cost Canada for Motorcycles?

Re: Where to find Motorcycle invoice prices? Is there a Car Cost Canada for Moto... OK... so I'm trying to take it all in.... clearly lots of view points. I believe a dealership deserves to make a profit. It's fair and I'm not looking to screw anyone. Based on nothing but my own gut...

Where to find Motorcycle invoice prices? Is there a Car Cost Canada for Motorcycles?

I appreciate everyone's views. The message I'm getting is that we don't really know how much a dealer makes on the sale of motorcycles but the best way to get good value for your money is to shop around and add accessories & services to the overall purchase so you can whittle away at the...

Where to find Motorcycle invoice prices? Is there a Car Cost Canada for Motorcycles?

I'd like to know how much margin dealers make on the bike I'm shopping for. They deserve to earn a profit - of course they do. But is it $500? $2000? $4000 on a $14500 bike ? I'd like to know. It will help me negotiate especially if I'm also buying accessories and giving them service &...

Where to find Motorcycle invoice prices? Is there a Car Cost Canada for Motorcycles?

Last year I purchased a new car and used a service called Car Cost Canada to find out the dealer invoice price, freight, PDI and manufacturer sales incentives. Some dealerships hate them but many like to deal with educated buyers. You end up negotiating how much uplift the dealer deserves rather...

Suzuki 2008 1800 Boulevard -- Why did Suzuki stop making them?

I test drove a 2008 Suzuki Boulevard 1800 last week. I think it was a C109..... ? Regardless of it's name -- Great bike ! Does anyone know why Suzuki stopped building this bike? Did it morph into the M109s?

Will a Bike pass Safety with Aftermarket (loud) Cobra Pipes?

That's a great link ! Thank you. I did a search for 'muffler', 'exhaust' and 'sound' and nothing I found suggested aftermarket pipes (if installed as required by the code) would fail an inspection. Thanks !
