Just my opinion... As a first ever trackday, I would recommend Fabi track because shorter track will be easier to learn. Over the course of the day, you will go though the same corners more times than when riding Long track. This will help you memorize the layout and to learn faster. Long...
Thank you all for your input, this has been a very informative thread. I have one more question: has anyone tried using an inverter hooked up to deep cycle baterries to run tire warmers?
The Hyundai 2200 is rated at 65 decibels, which is the same as the Champion 1500 generator. Seems like no gains noise wise. CT sell Champion inverter 2000 for similar price of Hyundai and it is rated at 53 decibels, which is same as Honda inverter. Most generators/inverters are rated around...
I am assuming noise is the major issue? Is it really that bad? I was advised it is the best generator on a budget and paid $200 plus tax for it (on sale). It is still in the box and I have 90 days to return it.
Thanks for all replies. Actual power consumpition figures came very handy. I purchased Champion generator from CT, it is rated at 1500W start up, 1300W peak and 1080W continous. Hopefully it will run the Canadian made Bickles.
Thanks for your replies. I was not aware that the Chinese warmers require more power and since my genny is rated at 1100 watts, I will need the Canadian made warmers.
As the title says I am looking for opinions/reviews on the Bickle warmers from China. Any issues or problems, are they worth the money? I know they cannot be repaired like the Canadian made Bickle warmers, but if used and stored correctly without incidents, will they last? Thanks.
Call Rider's Choice. They will direct you to a guy in Etobicoke who does all the repairs for them. He did a great job on my leathers for just a few bucks.
ontario trackdays website does not show any events at TMP on the 22nd, but on the 29th. is this for sure? racer5 website has nothing and tmp website is down. can anyone verify this before i make the drive? thx.
I called the customs office and it turns out that they made a mistake and will refund the duty I've paid. So, the costs of importing a bike are as follows:
6% GST
8% PST
RIV fee of $206.70
Well worth it.
Yes, you will pay 6.1% duty on the bike. Last saturday I brought an Aprilia from states and I paid:
6.1% duty
6% GST
195+GST=206.70 RIV fee
and I will still pay the 7% PST when registering.
That goes for all the bikes manufactured outside North America. You will not pay duty on american bikes...
