    T-rex now legal in ontario

I'm surprised no one has mentioned that you'll need to wear a helmet while driving one of these things, which I can't really understand why since many t-rex's have roll bars, seat belts, full windshields, etc...

Apps for Motorcycle smart phone use. Android or iOS

it sucks that google maps doesn't allow you to send multi point routes to the maps app... that would be ideal. If anyone knows how to do that, please share.

Apps for Motorcycle smart phone use. Android or iOS

Android or Apple? For Android there are Voyager and Road Warrior (and most likely a few others too)... but I haven't really used either and not sure how well they work on the road.

Apps for Motorcycle smart phone use. Android or iOS

To secure the phone to an x-grip if you plan to be riding on rough roads or trails, these work great: http://www.twistedthrottle.ca/ram-mounts-ram-hol-un7t-tether-for-un7-x-grip-holders?gclid=CjwKEAjwg6W6BRDn6v__7vzN9QkSJAC9l9C3XpmDzD64thCyy3IKy_Vsewlemrsq8byskaImTc152xoCvhHw_wcB As for...

    Dual sport tires

Jeremy, how is the 805 rear on wet roads? I just got a set of 804/805 for the wee, but I have only mounted and not just used the 804.... 805 is still wrapped new. I have a kenda big block on the Vstrom rear now... and it is slippery on wet roads. It does okay in sand and mud though.

$352/year on insurance for that?! In Hamilton?! I pay $240 per year for a DRZ which I bet is much more fun...

How to Wash & Wax your Motorcycle, the proper way!

Why do I need to clean my chain? I have never cleaned the chain... just lube it often with Wurth HHS 2000. I currently have 50000km on it, and it hasn't even needed adjustment yet. I changed the front sprocket because I wanted a 16-tooth, but the rear is still in good shape... a bit worn. No...

Touring tips - the little things

CAA also offers what they call a Premier membership which includes one tow of up to 320km but also has something called trip interruption coverage which apparently pays up to $600 when you are outside your tow zone. I haven't had to use it, but I figured that is what I'd try to use if I broke...

    Shipping bikes to the States

That is excellent, thanks! I was playing around on their quote site and they claim they ship to Alaska for $685... which is almost unbelievable but makes an Alaska trip so much more do-able to have your bike shipped there with fresh tires/oil/etc. Definitely bookmarking that one.

    Sena 20s Helmet Speakers

The Sena SMH10 I bought from brownelvis on this forum had the original speakers removed and speakers from a JVC headset with the same impedance replaced -- and it sounds awesome. I went from using earbuds to using ear plugs with the speakers in... as for me it is less hassle. I can understand if...

Any machinists that can help? Threaded handle bar.

Cool, thanks. I'll visit them. The minimum order won't be an issue as it appears the tap will be around $20 anyway, so I'll get a tap and six inserts or so and see if I can make it work.

    Sport touring tires

If any of you have a bike with a 19" front (like a Vstrom), I am selling an un-used PR4 front: http://www.gtamotorcycle.com/vbforum/showthread.php?196173-Michelin-Pilot-Road-4-Trail-110-80-19-Front-Tire-140-Mississauga&p=2401531#post2401531 I love the PR4 rear I am using... except that it seems...

Any machinists that can help? Threaded handle bar.

I'd like to do this to both my Vstrom and my DRZ... Vstrom currently has MSR steel bars, DRZ has stock bars. Johnny, I have to measure again and get back to you. I am pretty sure I measured just a hair over 17mm... I think it was 17.09 on the caliper, so I figured an 11/16 tap (17.46mm) would...

Any machinists that can help? Threaded handle bar.

I'm tired of using expander nuts when securing my handguards to my bike, and was thinking of using something like this: However... that fastway bar end mounts won't work for my bars... it uses a 5/8 tap and 5/8 just falls into my bars... my ID is closer to 11/16. Is there anyone here (or a...

    North Carolina

I wasn't talking about NC when I said that, I meant places to visit and not going there because you disagree with their laws... like most of the places will care. I disagree with many things that Islamic places say and do, but I still lived in Indonesia and travelled through Brunei, Malaysia...
