There are signs everywhere saying that anything bigger than a 30 foot truck cannot go on this road. There are signs warning that this is your last turn around etc. I was there during the week and road the dragon mostly after 6pm. Never saw a single truck, also never saw anything leave their lane.
It is definitely a dick move on part of those Harley riders, it ****** me off so bad I made this thread. When riding in the states, slow cars will always allow you to pass or use a pull off zone on twisty roads to let you get by but Harley riders not so much. I just dont get that mentality.
First, I don't ride a sportbike
Second, I'm not saying it cant be done but passing in the opposite lane around blind corners is just asking for it and passing in the same lane is a dick move.

Lets hear some stories.
I did 1,500km today coming back from Deals gap up 79 in wv / pa. Took about 18 hours including breaks.
Had to drink a lot of Mountain Dew for the caffine boost.
Doing 130 on the 401 is not a "Harleytrain", doing 70 on the 401 on the left lane with 8 other Harley riders would be...
Do you understand the difference?
Its hard to blast by when your 2up and loaded with luggage. Worst part is roasting in your ATGATT while these people are wearing brain buckets t shirts and shorts. When I have faster riders approach from behind, I move to the right of my lane and wave them by. I wish these Harely dudes would...
I never understood the hate for Harley / cruiser riders until today. I spend the last 12 hours riding the blue ridge parkway which is a road with a 45 mph speed limit. Every once in a while I would run up on a group of anywhere from 2 to 6 Harley riders that are doing 30 to 35 mph and it takes...
3 days in and im somewhere in NC on the boarder with SC. 11 hours riding day 1, 8 hours day 2, 12 hours on day 3.
Skyline drive was nice, no LEO in sight so 45 to 55 mph was good times. BRP was great from the start down to Roanke. From Roanke to NC Stateline it was a snooze fest with cruiser...
I don't get this rider. If I someone was driving in my space like in the first 20 seconds of the video I would have just gassed it and got the f*ck out of there. Why stay and argue / fight with someone in a cage?
I am going for 8 days and will take 1 day down to Front Royal doing mostly 219. Than Ride Skyline Dr and BRP top to bottom, hopefully in 2 days. Then I will ride around Deals Gap area for a day or two. Whats a good 2 day route to get back home?
I got stopped once on Steeles and Keele for speeding. The cop pretty much just jumped out of nowhere right in the middle of my lane. I had to slam on my breaks really hard to avoid hitting him. He was nice and reduced my fine to 10 over but I can totally see how someone can hit the cop by...
I cut down the car bead seat and reinforced the outer layer with a 40lb finishing line. I went for a 7.5 hour ride today and had no pain or diaper rash at all. I am very pleased with this. $15 well spent.
