hey, was that you at the forks last night around 6 ish? I saw a Burgman650 parked up against the wall and figured it might have been you on the laptop. Would have said hi but you looked like you didn't want to be disturbed, though very comfy :)
Looks like a bump as well, I don't think gravel would have caused the compression. You can see the tire momentarily leave the ground before the dampening and rebound pushed the tire back on to the road.
I think if it had been a slide the compression would happen when the tire grabbed the road...
First off, hearing loss is permanent and no you aren't indestructible :) . I never ride without earplugs I have regular ear canals so the standard 33npr foam ones work great for me. That being said, you have to get used to them. The first time you use them might feel weird as though you got...
I have an Exo700 and a Bell Vector. The Scorpion fits better as it suits an intermediate oval head which mine is. The Bell is a touch rounder but the base of the helmet is not tight enough to my head and I find it very noisy. The Scorpion fits better, is quieter, aerodynamics are better straight...
Also in addition to all the above, if you keep in mind that all sorts of mayhem occurs at intersections. As you approach the intersection roll off the throttle and back off,way off. This way you give yourself braking/avoidance/ mirror checking/ pick an option time, too close and you have no time...
If you do a check on ninjette.org there is tons of info on tire sizes. Generally stock is best followed by a 140/70 rear like the Pirelli Diablo II and finally 150/60 rears. The Bridgestone bt-016 is a common 150/60 size that supposedly runs to the narrow end of this size spectrum so fits with...
As others have suggested I also have been commuting 8 months of the year for the last 2 years. My recommendation is to get a tankbag with tailbag to take any overflow when necessary. I use a Cortech tank bag in the 11 litre range and it sits about level with the top of my windscreen.
My office...
I may be wrong on this but I read (I think on Bob's The Oil Guy) from a reputable source who commented that synth should be black/dark coloured when drained as that means it's doing its job. Clear honey coloured likely means it's not, as synth is supposed to hold the crap in suspension and keep...
The new gen 250's seem to have a cdi that is susceptible to heat, when it gets too hot the tach displays a higher rpm than the engine is actually turning). If your rpm is lower in cooler weather for the same speed, I would suspect this.
I've also got a Ninja 250 with 30K kms and had the valves done at about 24k kms. I also have a tapping noise which used to be a lot louder before I reset the cam chain tensioner, now I think it's just a regular valve tap though i'm also a little unsure if this is normal.
Another suggestion would be to look at Vanson's riding pants, they use 1000 denier nylon's in both mesh and regular material. They also have jeans that use two layers of denim with a layer of 1000 denier mesh sandwiched in between. These are probably cooler than kevlar lined jeans with...
