No, I'm not sure. Just nothing I've tried has cleared it up yet. I'm inclined to try that, but do you think I'll still be able to apply a layer of vinyl tint after, if it doesn't end up working? I don't want to try anything that will create micro-abrasions that may prevent the tint from sticking.

I tried calling him yesterday, as per your advice on another thread. He's away from the office until next week.

Yeah, I saw that. I was surprised to find a new one available! To me it's not worth it at $350 + paint and shipping. I'd rather just tint the windscreen for $25 and call it a day. Thanks though.

Unfortunately it's too far gone at this point. The original owner spray painted it black and that ended up "etching" the plexi. I'm sure the solvent I used to remove the paint didn't help much either, although it really didn't matter at that point. I've tried Turtle Wax headlight restore kit...

It's a 2000 Suzuki VZ800 From what I understand, the fairing and chin spoiler were part of a factory offered package in 1997, exclusive to Japan and Russia. The fairing is genuine Suzuki, it has the logo stamped into it along with various Japanese markings.
