I'm inclined to try that, but do you think I'll still be able to apply a layer of vinyl tint after, if it doesn't end up working?
I don't want to try anything that will create micro-abrasions that may prevent the tint from sticking.

With shipping it comes out to just under $200, kind of steep but it's good to know I can get it if I screw up with the tinting.

I may give that a shot, I think it's too far gone though. I'm also worried because if I do that I'll be unable to apply a sheet of limo tint to it as a "plan b".

To me it's not worth it at $350 + paint and shipping. I'd rather just tint the windscreen for $25 and call it a day. Thanks though.
Unfortunately it's too far gone at this point. The original owner spray painted it black and that ended up "etching" the plexi. I'm sure the solvent I used to remove the paint didn't help much either, although it really didn't matter at that point.

From what I understand, the fairing and chin spoiler were part of a factory offered package in 1997, exclusive to Japan and Russia.
The fairing is genuine Suzuki, it has the logo stamped into it along with various Japanese markings.
