Get yourself a set of good dot race tires from one of the vendors that actually have reps that are involved in racing. Dunlop, bridgstone etc . They can answer questions help you out. It doesn't matter which brand because it will be awhile before you will actually be able to tell the difference...
I said this in another thread. If you folks want to do a trackday at Mosport this year, you had better get to the December bike show and sign up ASAP. There are going to be very few track days for bikes there this year.
Unless you are racing in the CSBK or the VRRA getting track time at Mosport on a bike is going to get very rare and pricey real soon. Track day space at Mospot is going to be very limited now that redneck racing is moving in.
A very dry day at SMP today. Hard to believe but true. It spit a couple of times but the track was dry 95% of the time. Some stayed home because of the rain so we only had two groups and a ton of track time.
Yeah the photographer was there from Montreal. He was working for John Sherrard/Inside Motorcycles but did take a lot of shots of all of us at the track that day. So get a hold of John to get the guy's co-ordinates.
All that matters is having fun.
I agree Bogie make for the best photos. That photog there worked his arse off to get in places to get the shot. Not an easy thing to do given the terrain. Sadly I think he has moved on from Bogie.
You are correct Ken (as usual). I may have overreacted to your post and taken it the wrong way but I don't think so. I have no doubt that as nice as your post may almost read it was a jab at the event. If the 1st post wasn't the 2nd one is. You are the self appointed expert in everything...
Well there you have it folks.
Don't bother going it's all *****. Unless it's a SOAR event it's crap.
I think I'll still go to this dangerous piece of crap weekend anyway. It will be crap but I want to go.
Beef that 400 up for the weekend. There will be some 125gp and 250gp there for sure plus some SVs and who knows what else for the under 80hp. It's going to be a good time no matter if you podium or not. I'm going to race at that weekend. I'm not getting any younger.
