I feel a bit like everyone is shouting into an empty echoing hallway, OR I'm misunderstanding the conversation.
it's tame. yes. that's not being argued.
why is that a problem for people that don't desire the fastest machine on the road?
Agree about needing to ride to do a real comparison, I believe those numbers though as a starting point. no way suzuki released a slower 0-60mph number on purpose. the v-strom is the same HP as the ex500 and 100lbs more. makes sense to me it would be slower. pixie dust gearing or not. a twitchy...
going off the article linked above for some more info on the nc700 speed. thanks aircooled5!
v-strom 650 0-60mph, 5.6sec
ninja 250 0-60 5.5 sec
honda cbf600 0-60mph 4.6sec
ex500 0-60mph 3.76sec
sv650 0-60mph 3.3sec
shiver 0-60mph 3.1sec
nc700 ...unknown faster than cbf600 according to...
ya, not that I'm an expert in any way, but I'd say numbers lie.
ex500 hp 59.1

er-6n / ninja 650 64.8 hp

highly doubt they feel as similar as numbers alone would suggest. it sounds like it's going...
there's the wonders of choice. I don't really care if I'm the only one in the world that would buy the 700. that's why there's other models of motorcycles for everyone else. I'm sure the 700 would be fine to do more than commute. if the 500 can why wouldn't the 700?
Can't remember which mana...
the Mana is automatic. the manual mode doesn;t work. I mentioned that I think in my 1st post on the bike.
mana doesn;t even factor in as an option. sounds speedy, more so than the 700.. but no shifter == no deal.
Gladius was actually an option for me when I first saw it. I don't care about the advertising. it just seemed like a neat looking sv650 that was a rip of the monster. at the end of the day though, if I was going to drop 7-8k on something that looked like a monster, I'd get a used monster...
Sure. But the nc has a manual transmission where as the mana is manual and automatic. Every review states the manual setting doesn't work right. It's also about finding the right. Bike for you. The. Mana for Me Feels awkward. The styling also is very bulbous the thing looks chubby like a...
just got back.
I'm IN LOVE with the new Honda NC700s. WOW. I don't care how anyone else feels about it. THIS is the bike I've wanted them to make. streetfighter with trellis frame. less than $10k, 700cc (not too much, not too little with an intermediate bike) gas tank is a storage trunk just...
still seeing 2 bikes parked next to my bike every day at the office and it's december 8 ! so glad to see so many bikes out this year STILL! cruiser this morning on lakeshore, sv650 yesterday. seems a lot of people still aren't wanting to pack it in. kudos to anyone riding without heated gear.
for longer trips where I know I'll be off the bike and it's not jacket weather, I have givi side cases. crap goes in, locks up. no issues thus far.
also have a small cable lock for the helmet so I can leave it on the bike. I usually take the helmet with me though as the tinting transition visor...
Well. If your bike gets stolen will you regret not having spent an extra 200? Most likely. I have a 500 and have had a scooter stolen. People will steal anything. Doesn't matter what it is.

well almost... ski goggles with an android 2.3 based tiny screen

I want to hack that into my helmet ASAP.
I'm curious if the speedometer is just accelerometer based, and if so, if it works...
No Temperature limit.
Just a matter of snow. the tires stick fine on cold pavement, but not on snow.
Tried riding on snow a couple times, didn't end well, learned my lesson.
Looking at getting a URAL side car bike for snow runs though ;)
This morning on my commute I didn't see a single bike...
Rafik the part you're missing that makes it not make sense is that the video is with my landlord who doens't know how to get it off the DVR. unfortunetly when you pop a blank cd in it it reboots endlessly. so this adds an extra complication to matters as someone needs to drive to the building...
incorrect.
everyone always says that, but incorrect. how good do you think a $3 blocker works?
anyways, whether they do or not the last 'bust' where they found the guys stealing bikes was becuase someone had a gps tracker.
so I guess some people can thank him for wasting money.
the garmin...
she's at the police station right now. told her to ask for the duty supervisor. they're just giving her the "we don't have the resources to deal with this, go away". I guess all the 'resources' are out sitting in speed traps. easy money.
won't post the video till after the cops have hopefully...
