2 Days in PA on a Ducati 748

MacDoc, got in a couple of hours ago. Great trip. 100 percent on stopping for fuel even when you don't need it. I had a tense period when my fuel light came on and I was in the middle of the forest. All around me empty cabins and not a sign of life. Rolled into a gas station and topped up an...

MacDoc, which GPS solution do you feel is better: the iPhone MotionX Drive or TomTom app. Big price difference between the two.

2 Days in PA on a Ducati 748

Not on this trip - If I had a GPS I would wear them. A proper GPS would be great. I'll do some research when I'm back. If the touring bug strikes I may have to reassess my choice of bike amongst other things.

That makes a lot of sense. Looks super comfy and I've no doubt it will hold it's own in the twisties.

2 Days in PA on a Ducati 748

Just using printouts from Google Maps in a tank bag map sleeve, and if I get mixed up an iPhone to tell me where I am. I went and picked up a TomTom GPS the other day for about $150. I was surprised by it's lack of capability to let me plan custom routes. It seemed fine for point to point...

Those loops look amazing. Saved them - if I don't cover all of them now I soon will. Thank you.

2 Days in PA on a Ducati 748

Thanks MacDoc. For this first time I prefer riding solo, that way I can set the pace and not feel pressure to go faster or to ride slower.

2 Days in PA on a Ducati 748

Here's my plan. This is the first time I'm going this far/this long on the Ducati 748. I expect about 4 to 5 hours in the saddle to be my limit (pain threshold) with lot's of breaks to fill up the 17 litre tank. Leave GTA this Sunday early morning. Ride the 219 all the way into Kane, PA. Call...

The old Race Oval is gone for good.

That lamp post at the exit of the top turn always kept me a bit in check. If you high-sided on that turn you would no doubt be thrown right at it. Rumour has it someone bought it right into that lamp post.

post a pic of urself and bike at pd13

I too got my fill of Harley's. I honestly just don't get it. I don't begrudge anyone, I like all bikes. And, I'm sure all of the Harley's are fun for a few minutes (like a JetSki). But I thought the whole biker thing was about being non-conformist, iconoclastic. Seems it's all tassels, chaps and...
