One of the rules around here is that if you ask an honest question you will eventually get a reasonable answer....but people get to f*** with you first.
Ha ha ha ha!
It means turning the tire around on the rim so the left side is right and the right is left. Useful if you run in one direction on the track and so wear out one side of the tire more quickly than the other. Officially tires are marked as per direction of rotation so you are not...

Awesome weekend. Many new entries in a lot of the classes. Let's hope this continues through the season.
I am guilty of not wiring mine. It is on with a "rollbar mount", clamped to one of my frame sliders, not a sticky mount. I'll find a way to wire it for Round 2.
Q3s are still awesome times even at an intermediate track day pace, and they last very well. We use them on our endurance bike (2003 Gixxer600) and I need to be doing my sprint race pace on a hot day to get them squirmy at all. They really are wonderful tires and should be just fine for any...
Ripp racing has confirmed ton their FB page hat there is no Bridgestone contingency money for SOAR this year, beyond their sponsorship of the Bridgestone Cup. I also notice that Pro 6 has removed the 2015 SOAR contingency info from their web page. I hope that doesn't mean...
If it is your first time on the track I'll bet they will be enough tire. Most people wouldn't use an ST tire on the track, but today's ST tires can get you knee down (not that that should be your goal necessarily). If you do manage to get your corner speeds up quickly you'll feel them get...
I've been in touch with Dave via email, but he is pretty slow in responding. Last I communicated with him (late last week) he was on the road - not sure if he is back yet.
Not sure about the hate-on for JR stuff. I've worn mine for 5 seasons and crashed it multiple times - has done its job very well. Paid $500 at Royal. Also, JR is a Canadian company if I am not mistaken.
Okay, let's see how long it takes Ken to answer this one....
Will there be endurance at Round 6? If so, do the points count towards the endurance class standings, or are they determined on the basis of Rounds 1 to 5, like the other SOAR classes?
10:01...go!
I guess I was lucky that I could just slide the WC bar out far enough to make room for the lever guard. I *really* prefer the WC style lever guard to the type that inserts into the bar end. The WC ones are much more resistant to rotating out of position. Also, I was using one of the "insert"...
Still no contingency announcement from Bridgestone, but I found out from Dave that the prices are going up this year, due to the CDN$ being down. $439 per set for either V01-Rs or rains. That compares to $350 per set for Dunlop slicks, $399 for Dunlop rains (2015 pricing from Pro 6 website)...
We ran our '03 all last year without the intake tubes. Fueled fine but bike was slow. No way to know if it would have been just as slow with the tubes installed.
These seem like pretty curt little posts on a pretty complicated subject. Would appreciate if you could elaborate a bit when you have time.
Not sure how you are defining "work" here, but I think it is pretty obvious that situations can arise where one tire keeps you upright and another puts...
