Can anyone identify these Teknic riding boots?

Looks similar to an old pair of Chicanes I had. Didn't have the ankle sliders though. Very similar otherwise.

    Trailer restraint systems

Another trick I do before securing rear of bike is lifting and spinning the rear wheel backwards until the transmission slack is taken up. I use this same securing method with the R6 and fairings. No issues with bodywork. Solid as a rock. Notice how much (or little) the forks are compressed.

    Trailer restraint systems

For a rental trailer, I don't believe Pitbulls are an option. For tying it down, here's my thoughts: Use soft loops to connect to the bike rather than canyon dancers. I had a clip-on twist from the force the canyon dancer exerts on the grips. I've had zero issues when securing front of bike...

Using Uhaul trailer for trackdays. yay or nay?

Exactly! Basically any weight added behind the rear axle lessens the weight on front tires.

Using Uhaul trailer for trackdays. yay or nay?

The interface where the hitch mounts to the vehicle is probably one of the limiting factors to tongue weight (along with suspension maybe?!). No matter how strong your fasteners are, the unibody may not handle the vertical weight. I was also pondering a hitch mount carrier in the past. I was...

Using Uhaul trailer for trackdays. yay or nay?

This didn't make sense before to me. I assumed this was about trailer tongue weight. If this is a hitch mount bike carrier, the bike weight is over the tongue and technically is the tongue weight. Reading comprehension is important. I failed.

It's pretty much what you described with the wood and brick jumping off a table.

Using Uhaul trailer for trackdays. yay or nay?

Math fights on the internts are funny. cool - drive down a flat road with your hand between the hitch and the tounge. That pain you will experience is the tounge weight from your trailer. When you hit a dip or bump in the road, your bones breaking in your hand are the result of the force on...

Help choosing an enclosed trailer for track days

I have a 6x13 all aluminum single axle enclosed. The trailer weighs about 1200lbs unloaded. The previous owners added trailer brakes after the fact because they had a smaller tow vehicle. Any trailer service shop can do this. I wouldn't want a 5' width enclosed. It's doable to fit two bikes...

    Naked Sportbikes

Having gone from SS to Naked, I can agree that 130-140+ can get fatiguing. If you regularly do high-speed highway riding for long durations, it will be noticeable compared to a SS. Good core workout! For around town and back road riding, there's no issues.

What to wear under leather suit

I have a PUG long sleeve top from Pro6. Works fantastic. Leathers just glide on and off. GF got me UnderArmour compression shorts and pants. Shorts I use on hotter days, pants on cooler days. Happy with them.

    Uneven front tire wear.

Now I've seen it happen on two sets of SC's. I have SC1's also. Guess come winter, I will not move bike around on those tires!

    Uneven front tire wear.

SC's (DOT's)? I've seen this before on SC's that were ridden at near freezing temps. SP's - street version, shouldn't have this issue.

    a hypothetical question

I need to do some testing before getting the bike out on the track. Unfortunately the ignition issues only occur when bike is thoroughly warm and at WOT. I can't do this (discretely) out on quiet public roads. May have to trailer the bike to a T&T day at a dragstrip.

    Knee sliders?

Wiz Sparkies. <end thread> Just kidding... don't bring those to public track days. You'll piss off fellow riders/marshals. I've tried several brands, technik, daineese, rst, some other random brands, and bickles. Bickles hold up best of all the ones I've tried. They outlast the others by a...

    Velocity Channel???

Noticed it on Rogers this past weekend. Mine's up on 534. Had a cool show about history of Ducati yesterday. Some ok show about Cafe Racers. Has replays of the build shows (Fast n Loud, WestCoast Customs, etc.). Free is good, pay is no good.
