2000 GSXR no spark after spark plug change

Many electronic ignitions don't like to be checked without the plugs grounded and if you check this way it could fry the electronics.

First flat tire. I'm at bloor and ossington. Need help and advice

First thing is to try and find the leak. It may be as simple as a bad valve core. If it is a nail I wouldn't ride it as it could do more damage. If it's caused by a puncture then removing the object and patching the inner tube should be the fix.

    Spark Plug question.. (GSXR600)

It depends on the type of plug cap. Some clip onto the thread and so you don't need the threaded piece. Others clip onto the threaded piece. Simple.

Does it have a mechanical advance/retard? Maybe lubricating the mechanism or replacing the springs will help if it does.

FWIW NGK state that anti-sieze is not to be used on their plugs as it can lead to over torquing causing plugs to break in the head.

Am I the only crazy1? SS and a cruiser simultaneously.

I ride a cruiser and have no problem doing 1100 km days when touring. I cruise all day at 130 and more if I can get away with it.I upgraded the shocks to Hagon Nitros because the stockers were too harsh and a Corbin seat but other than that it is basically stock. I don't understand why people...

    Valve Adjustment Problem

Check the installed height of the valve and compare it to the other valves. In simple terms is the valve sticking up more than the rest? If so you need to investigate the cause though the most likely thing is valve seat recession. I'm not familiar with this particular engine but I wouldn't ride...

    Valve Adjustment Problem

The cams have quieting ramps so they should be facing straight up or you may not be measuring the maximum clearance. If you did not measure all the valves this way I would recheck them all.

Anyone have a Triumph TuneECU cable?

Not all cables work. There is a specific chipset that has to be in the cable. The Rocket III sites have a few posts on which cables work. Should be about $20 on ebay. I use TuneBoy and have the cable and software. The TuneBoy cable is said to work with TuneECU . With a header/filter change and a...

    Hot Weather Riding Tip

Something to look out for on longer hot rides is are you peeing? If not then you are in danger of dehydration. Evaporation will remove a lot of fluid on a motorcycle ride and it is imperative, as stated many times before in this thread, to drink lots. I like to make time and not mess around when...

    Bike won't start... help!!

Another point is that your gas tap doesn't have a "reverse" position. It is reserve. If you run out of gas then you can flip to the reserve position and there will be a few litres of gas to get you to a nearby gas station. Remember to flip back to the on position after you fill up. This is on...
