That price is right in the ballpark. The High Rider was a "factory custom" attempt at a chopper look but was never very popular. The bike advertised is a Roadster.

Not to mention the front drum brake and fender is wrong for a '73 with aftermarket carb, footrests etc.

I've never heard of Stainless steel fork tubes. Hard chromed steel is the norm including BMW's. Unless you go to a 400 series heat treatable st st most Stainless is too soft and will wear in the seal area too easily. Hard chroming is different to regular chroming and must be precision ground to...

A carburetted bike will not lock up the rear wheel when the gas is low and you need to flip to reserve. The bike simply slows down as if the throttle was closed.

With a soft crush washer this will work fine. It is considered good practice, in critical areas, to place the rounded side towards the bolt head in a situation where a steel washer is used as part of a normal fastening to protect the bolt head from possible cracking stresses.
