One thing you're not considering by comparing Saskbattery pricing to GTA pricing to L'ami Denis pricing is taxes. Saskbattery charges less tax on the order than L'ami Denis so your battery price saving is realized through (higher cost + lower taxes) versus (lower cost + higher taxes).
I've bump started my Moto Guzzi a couple of times in traffic (bad starter switch combined with stalled it at a light). There is a trick to it that should apply to most all bikes. My technique is almost like conumdrum above but sequence is different. In gear, clutch in -- jogging pace -- hop...
I heard good things about Motorcycle Innovations (http://www.motorcycleinnovations.ca/Default.asp) in Ajax from a friend who bought a replacement battery for his motorcycle. Good prices for guaranteed Yuasa products, excellent service I heard. They also stock EarthX LiFePo batteries should you...
I own the first generation V7. It's a really nice motorcycle in that it is powerful yet light. It has an undeniable spirit that's missing in many modern motorcycles. They are just lovely bikes to ride. I know that the engine has evolved on the 2nd and 3rd generation V7's offering greater HP...
Just wanted to mention a great customer support experience with Ogio (Callaway Golf Inc.). I bought an Ogio No-Drag Mach 3 backpack in the States in 2013. Recently, the zipper that closes the back has failed, opening up without warning. So, I went to the Ogio website and read that the bag has...
I don't have a GSXR 600, but I took a quick look at the bike's schematic. There is a side stand relay in the fuse box. The problem could be with this relay - corroded contacts, corroded plug. Have you tried re-seating the relay in its socket? that could help.
Weird. I clicked on the RSVP registration link in the announcement (linked in the first post) and it says Sold Out. Could it be that all available invitations are taken?
Although not "required", it is better to use a relay and larger gauge wiring. There's too much resistance in the stock wires (probably 18GA) and horn switch, and the drop in voltage across these components will limit the current to the horn and therefore make it weaker. Use 12-14GA wires...
The brand of the bike is either Fit or Irreparable; there is no Salvage branding (as would be possible for cars). The insurance company will get a mechanic to inspect the bike to confirm no possible frame damage before changing the Brand. My Moto Guzzi was an insurance write-off, previously...
I've had the complete opposite experience to OP's. Got my 2017 insurance quote in the mail -- $1200 for both motorcycles (with multiline discount). When I called to confirm and finalise the coverage, they found a new deduction that reduced the premium to just over $1000 for both bikes...
That ad is very non-specific as to whether that product is an original Shindengen or a clone. I'd shop from a reputable dealer like Roadster Cycle. They stand behind their products and offer presales and aftermarket service you won't see from that Ebay seller, something you'll need if you are...
Check out ebay for very cheap AMP Superseal 1.5 Series connectors. These are waterproof and handle high currents. A set of 4-way or 3-way connectors are only $7 -$8.
When you say "electronic parts" are you asking for components like resistors and transistors, or test gear like multimeters. If components, great online sources are Digikey.ca or mouser.com. Both have massive inventories of almost anything electronic. They ship same day by FedEx so you...
Not strange. Normally, the riding season is from just after the last snows clear up in the spring until the first snowfall in the winter. That could be April to November or December. Last year's winter was extremely mild and GTAM riders were finding there were warm, safe days without road...
Test the oil pressure switch. It is located in the oil / water pump, on the left side and has a single brown wire attached to it. It should normally be closed and register continuity to ground when the engine is stopped. The wire winds its way through the hall sensor area and up through the...
