    What's your biggest fear?

Yes, it was a bit of a poke and a jab at him. He insults another long standing member, questioning their validity as a poster. I kindly returned the favor. He didn't like it that much, did he? As for the money... well, some people actually paid back in the day to make sure the site had some...

Anyone able to install a head gasket on a gsxr 600 07

Then it is quite possible it is only a Valve Cover gasket. Without a picture of the precise location of the oil leak, its a very good guess, but a guess non the less, as to the problem.

Anyone able to install a head gasket on a gsxr 600 07

Head gasket is around 4-8 hours total time to complete (remove tank and fairings, remove valve cover, remove cams, remove head, replace head gasket, reinstall head, torque to spec, install cams, re-time cams (or cheat by marking the timing chain and do not change its position on the crank)...

    299 in Victoria driver CHARGED

Agreed. Even with some good witnesses, there is bound to be breaks in eye's-on surveilance or witness sightings etc. Its a pretty loose case, a lawyer should have no issue with this one. Doesn't seem like too smart a chap, on the other hand he might be- they still have not found him.

    What's your biggest fear?

The reason is quite simple. This forum has been around for quite some time, and it has been updated since. As such, the current forum does not show all of our previous posts. So, while I have hundreds if not well over a thousand, of posts on the forums, it only shows the most recent ones...

    coleman instant canopy any good?

I have the First Up canopy I got from Walmart or Crappy tire. Great for my usage, I still have it 5 years later. Tied down properly, I've been dry at Shannonville without so much as a wee movement, while those with Caravan or whatever brand of fancy expensive canopies are dropping them down...

    Unsaftied vs Safetied: Use buying

There is no warranty of sorts if the bike has an issue within 30 days with the safety. If there is something blatently wrong, and the bike has a safety, you can contact the Ministry of Transporation and/or the shop that wrote the safety to have it addressed, but there might be a cost to make...

    Camping @ shannonville

No Dump service, and there is a hose for Well water (not safe to drink). the track might frown upon filling up your tanks when you are there. Hit up your RV service station before you go the track.

Can I practice in parking lots? Private property? Private roads?

I hear ya guys, yeah, just do it.. but what I've found as of late, is that people aren't as concerned about what the law ACTUALLY says, but what the police would do.... We all know there is a clear line between the two. Get a nasty cop, and he might try and give you a ticket for trespassing...

Just flunked my M1 Written Test

Drivetest I think are still run by the MTO, Service Ontario are mostly private. Regardless, these are costs paid for with government dollars, privatized or not. And you use the word Standards. Yes, there are standards that need to be met, but those standards go both ways. There is a minimum...

Just flunked my M1 Written Test

I Agree. Business in Government is in two official languages. I think it is smart financially to only offer it in those languages. In some areas, a translator might only be used once a week, in other areas the offices only hire persons who speak specific languages in addition to...

    Bike in impound!!

Heh, I forgot about ya in this forum Rob! Too darn efficient! Problem with link though, but Rob is absolutely correct, it is covered in the Repair and Storage Liens Act. http://www.e-laws.gov.on.ca/html/statutes/english/elaws_statutes_90r25_e.htm#BK25 That link should work for Section iv...

    Bike in impound!!

Hint, if the towing and storage charges are insane, you do have recourse. Firstly, attend the towing company in the MORNING and obtain a copy of your invoice, and it must be detailed, with tow charge, storage charge, and any additional charges. If the amount is excessive, ask for a break. If...

Can the Dealership Keep My Deposit?

The dealership can keep some or all of your deposit, if they have incurred costs related to your deal. For instance, if they had a technician build/prep your vehicle, the vehicle detailed or readied for delivery to you, lein registrations or adminstration charges with the Ministry of...

Off Duty Police officer, tries to race me then gives me a ticket

Thanks for that read. A text book Pacing case (paced at nearly the same speed for some distance) This case is FAR different, wherein officers racing the defendant in thier personal vehicle, while off duty, estimated visually the speed of the defendant who was accelerating from them, while they...

Off Duty Police officer, tries to race me then gives me a ticket

Yes, they do it all the time, in the case of speeding. However, in this case, the difference between 1 charge and another, is a SINGLE kph over the limit. The fact that a ticket was issued for 49 over, and the scenario of street racing makes it clear to see that the infraction was more likely...

Police gain more ways to impound vehicles

With respect to your situation and experience, mine is alternate to that. I've seen the system work as simple as proving that the money wasn't paid, and the court clerk files the paperwork.

Off Duty Police officer, tries to race me then gives me a ticket

Firstly, as you know, the charge laid is the one which must be proven in court. Not proving a different charge, and that the lesser and different charge therefore is satisfactory. It would be like arresting for manslaughter, but charging for armed robbery because it seems easier to obtain a...
