Hey buddy! Great to hear from you... and soo sorry to hear about your accident. Happy to hear it isn't too serious!!
Yep, I've heard that about Fawaz quite a bit, apparently a really nice guy! I have yet to meet him thou. I didn't know you were looking after his site (should have known...
Not to be "that guy" because from what I understand Fawaz is an awesome guy.... but wouldn't it make sense to update his site and list all his dates so his customers/riders and attend his days? Hey maybe it's all visible on his site, I haven't looked... but judging from this thread, something...
Yea, the surface is *****... the owners a cheapskate. The grandstand needs paint too. But I still love the layout. It takes a million to make a million. He should pony up the $$$, the place would explode with popularity if he did.
I hit that bump on the power thru turn 3 all the time...
We were booked in for Shannonville yesterday, but switched to Cayuga on Saturday. We're in London, didn't want to make a 4 hour drive gamble. How long did the rain hold off for?
I signed up for the intermediate group... Red group was sold out (I've never seen hotshoe sell out before an intermediate group in 10 years - excluding Mosport before the nationals).
Should be interesting lol... but I'm just dialing in the traction control, suspension and tuning a map...
Yes, the SV650 would be the easiest...
However, I personally think you'll be begging for a 600 in no time. As for "which" 600... they're all the same. Get whatever one you like the price and looks of the best ;)
Good luck
Shes looking really good man! Great job ;). The three of us will be able to spot one another pretty quickly out in the track with these "slick" tremclad paint jobs ;) lol
Hey Freddie
Same way you would normally... Just drill a tiny hole in the nut. Start by looping around the upper part of the steel (there is an indent to accept the wire) the bring the wire down the hole you made in the bolt.
Finished product... well other than some loc wiring, decals and updating the Bazzaz TC mapping, etc... she'lll be 100% next weekend!
First track day on the 22nd!
Colin
Yep, R1 guy is spot on.
It's pretty simple really. Just a light wet sand inbetween coats, only takes about 5-10 mins (depending on size of panel). I would give mine a 24 hour cure time between coats..... At the end I only waited about 8 hours and it seemed to be fine lol. But I'd recommend...
Hahaha, thanks man.
The tremclad "budget" paint job was actually fun lol. Ibwas just saying to my girl friend last night, I'm kind of sad that it's done.... "now what can I do"? Hahaha
As promised... here is the finished product (without decals).
Ignore the Mickey Mouse wearing a scuba mask in the background lol
All 3 pieces
Zoom on Superbike Tail
Zoom on Bellypan
Zoom on Upper
Another Upper zoom
All and all, I'm super happy. I find the clear added to the shine...
