Just remove the light piece and run your wire up to where the factory wire clip is, and then slice up the wire a bit and join the wires from the led to the connector on the bike. I had to make a hole on teh oval factory light holder to put thewire through.
I did a DIY fender eliminator on 2012 Ninja 250, removed the plate and the light, placed the plate holder where the light use to be and put some led light screws that i picked from Royal for $13, its not as slick as the kits but for $13 i'm a happy camper.
Just bought a new 2012 Ninja 250 for $5650 on the road while ppl are asking 4800-5200 for used 2011's plus the hst. And yes its true ppl are getting close to the ridiculous asking prices.
