My bike "too small" for highway?

I will guess that you would not be selecting 5th gear until somewhere typically in the range of 80 - 120 kph. Especially if you are merging onto a hwy. 40kph probably 2 or 3rd gear at best, unless you are racing ants on the road, then go for 5th right away, lol. The mauals are always very...

    Sat 12th May,Twisties-Scarb,HaltonHills,Hamilton,Niagara,PortDalhousie(S t.C)

Thanx for leading a fun ride. Everyone seemed to appreciate that you stopped & waited at every Stop sign and turn in the route to ensure no one got lost. And no one expressed or showed any felling of pressure to keep up to or catch up to any front runner(s) if there were any on occassion. The...

    What is considered high milage?

Many bikes including Sportbikes do not start to loosen up nicely until approx 10,000 kms. I would consider 80,000 - 100,00 kms as high(er) mileage if it has been properly maintained and not abused which can be told usually by looking at it, for an experienced rider.

    Maintaining Leather Jackets?

This is what I am trying on my new Daytona leather boots (with GoreTex) after much research. Which I bought at an outdoors store. Cleaner and waterproofers. The leather needs to breathe for the GoreTex waterproof lining to work properly. http://www.grangers.co.uk/product.cfm?cat=25&productid=34...

little bugs/insects getting in to a full face helmet while riding.

Your turn is coming! Lol. I once had a dragonfly end up in my mouth. Somehow I managed to not munch down on it and it flew out just as I got stopped (full face helmet with visor up). I do not have a big mouth , just mouthy:lmao:.

    3-day trip leaving from Kingston

I enjoy: Through Andirondak park east to Lake Placid. Explore that area. Continue east out of L. Placid past the base of White face Mountain where the Olympics where held twice. Continue about 10 minutes. This is a very scenic and twisty road along a river. And then take the left up past...

Rode my bike for the first time today!

And the price of the 'Must ride' train ride at the zoo is exorbitant. Screaming in the tunnel is free. Change in one's pocket gets a ride. :) (At least it used too).

Suzuki officially shows why TC not required!

"I can understand not wanting to have ABS/TCS in specific situations but that's what an "off" button is for." I like that!

All Black Strips (ABS) just like the commercial. I see your point.

Suzuki officially shows why TC not required!

From BMW's site: "....the BMW S1000RR comes standard in Canada with Race ABS, Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) and Gear Shift Assist...."

Suzuki officially shows why TC not required!

Now for all those youngish riders out there just a reminder that the commercial was shot in a controlled environment, not on public roads, with an obviously skilled rider. Personally I just liked the video and seeing a skilled person demonstrating what some can do. I can do that and have (under...

    Solvent for removing stickers?

Varsol and acetone will probably dry things up (like the glue) which is not helpful. Just like removing the stickers and associated glue from on furniture an oil will work, like vegetable oil on wooden furniture, kitchen items for example. Try it on the gas tank, fairings.... it will not damage...

1 minute 53 seconds long Suzuki corporate commercial. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bXU2PwNqe-4&feature=player_embedded Real riders ride their bikes!:p Learn to ride and take control, as they said. All others should stay with 4 wheels.:lmao:

    2005 Yamaha FZ6 to 2003 Suzuki GSXR 1000. Will I make it?

Just use self-restraint like you did with the 600. "You live more for 5 minutes going fast on a bike like that than other people do in all of their life."

    What/how to fall?

Not true for a lot of riders/drivers. Watching the tv show Canada's Worst Driver bears witness to the fact that some people just 'do not have it' and do not learn. It is sad to know they actually were provided with a valid driver's licence.
