    Car insurance q

yes that is just for the car.. My bike is with another insurer. The car is with Sonnet and is a Fiat 500. I have nothing but great things to say about sonnet; it is a pure internet based insurer, and it seems like it is a great option for those that dont want to deal with brokers, online chats...

    Car insurance q

$1400 extra on top of whoever's existing policy to add you on? Where do you live? If you live in Brampton/Markham, perhaps thats the going rate for under 25.... But no, that is not reasonable at all, when comparing to what I was paying ( 2 years ago) as a under 25 year old with a G2... To be...

New U.S. tariff on imported motorcycles ?

Reading some of those comments at the bottom is a bit shocking. Its fun to see the go to response is "build a factory in the US"... I guess people are happy with no Euro options from 49-500cc's.

    Brampton powersports closing

If I am not mistaken this is company policy across all of Performance auto dealers (most dealers in the Brampton auto mall)... No hassle, no negotiation pricing. With how many used cars this dealer group runs through a month ( TONS), let alone new sales, its a surprise how long the powersports...

    Brampton powersports closing

Ouch, its to bad to hear, but makes a ton of sense. With how big the performance auto dealer network it is, this was a pure financial move.. Expand its used lot, and say goodbye to seasonal low margin motorcycle sales.

    Who's still riding? (Fall 2016 / Winter 2017 edition)

Yesterday was a crazy time; 50 feet visibilty at best, people driving 20km/h on a 60km/h, pedal bikes losing grip and falling down....... and the one vehicle/rider that kept on going was the ebikes. I saw some "undesirable" booting it up Victoria park going 40-50~ or so while the Huge SUV's with...

    Versys300, CCM, CB500, Vstrom650 small 'ADV' bikes

Same... I was initially interested in the 390 duke, but was quickly scared off by reading a couple forums on the build quality of these things; head gaskets going, over heating, suspension issues, etc.

    Proper winter tires

Ive signed up with td in the past in early November, and they have that rolling payment system ( 5 payments a year) where basically you pay nothing for winter menthes, and all policies end/start back up in February. I sighned up aand all I had to pay was a $25 min. policy fee to ride for the 4...

    Ffs

I expect plenty of biker pull over/ ride checks in the near future, similar to ones in New York and Australia ( seen plenty videos online). Target bikes, pull them over for no reason, check papers and then harass riders for any sort of mods/ safety issues ( rules applying to keeping your shield...

Stunt Driving Charge in Brockville (near Kingston) HELP!

Normaly I would just show up my self admit guilt and hope for leniency but you have to big issues with your profile that I would suggest to get a lawyer/paralegal .. Storing motorcycle for the season

I wait to the last possible moment every year, and like clock work the bike is always caught out in a snow storm before I put it away in my home depot special shed. Last year I think I made it to Mid-January ( I was shopping on christmas eve with the bike) Anything over 5C and Im willing to...

    Question on lane splitting

As a relatively new rider ( 3 years), the thing that drives me the most nuts on the road is that most drivers tend to ( and want to ) change lanes before actualy looking. Move halfway in between lanes, look, and then move all the way. Or just people that change lanes constantly to get ahead of...

    Question on lane splitting

Thanks guys for the clarification. Yeah, thats what I thought. And just to add to the story it took 45 mins to get from lakeshore and leslie to passing the TFC stadium.. If I was to split it would take 5 mins at most, considering the wide lanes in that area... Oh well I guess I will have to...

    Question on lane splitting

So question, is lane spltting in heavy traffic illegal in Ontario? I ask because today I was stuck along the gardiner today in bumper to bumper traffic going under 5kmh the entire time.. During this, multiple drivers lowerd their windows to have a quick conversation with me; 4 different drivers...

License Plate Not Visible - WTH?

Watch out how these tickets are viewed by insurance companies. Theres a debate going on if its a moving violation or not.. Regardless, it is comparable to tint laws on autos, and I know people that have indeed had rates increased ( small ones) due to tint tickets ( called in for clarification...

    Well, it's gone.

$2200 in 1998 money is equivalent to 3,064.11; thats not a half bad deal you got back then.. At aged 21 (only a few years ago) I had the pleasure of spending $4300 per year on insurance (after shopping comapnies for what feels like forever) on a toothless cbr 125r. God insurance is awful.

Motorcycle Research Paper Question - Why do you ride?

Originally got into motorcycling as a cost effective alternative to commuting in a car. You couldn't pay me to deal with the TTC daily, commuting to and from school daily, and a car is simply not feasible for a cheap student like me (parking, insurance, etc.)
