Too many bikes on road to wave these days

I am curious about this too as sometimes I take both hands of the bar to stretch for a few seconds. Is this considered stunting?

Planning a trip to Deal's Gap

What type of bike do you ride now? Why not just ride the bike down there that way you can take the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Biker films himself going 140 kph over the speed limit

Here is the full video in 1080p https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T162GvuLESE He was speeding fast in the empty stretches of hwy and slowing down when approaching cars. He lane split once right after a red light (totally legal in the rest of the world) and did a few passes that were somewhat...

Fishtailing on it's own to a small degree

The bike pulling to the left can be from a strong wind, road that is not even, you not sitting right on the center of the seat, or your wheels might be out of alignment...

The Reasonably Priced Used Motorcycles for Sale Thread

This looks like a great deal. Farkled out 2006 Bandit 1200 for $3,200. I wish this was posted in the later winter when I was buying mine. http://www.kijiji.ca/v-sport-touring/mississauga-peel-region/suzuki-bandit-1200s-abs-very-good-condition/1084671667?enableSearchNavigationFlag=true

Biker films himself going 140 kph over the speed limit

When people get caught with self incriminating video pointing at the speedo, do police factor in speedo error? I mean at the speeds that he is going it doesn't matter but lets say your speedo reads 150 which is HTA 172 in Ontario but the actual speed is only like 135 (GPS verified). Can they...

Can we legalize lane filtering yet?

I'm not the type that would run and the cops having the shoulder to use they can easily catch you on the 400 series if you are splitting through heavy traffic. I'll filter here and there when I am in the city but I try not to make a habit out of it. Sent from my LG-D852 using Tapatalk

Can we legalize lane filtering yet?

If we didnt have to worry about HTA172 id filter and split on the regular.

    The insurance quote collector thread

2005 Suzuki Bandit 1200s 29/ Male / M5P, no at fault accident last 7 years and no tickets in last 3 years (do have accidents and tickets when I was a teen). GM (bike license for 5 years). I went with TD MM for $2000 per year liability and theft only. I had similar quotes from other insurers...

US129 a.k.a. Tail of the Dragon

I was there last week and rode the gap 2 evenings in a row from 6 to 8pm. There is very little traffic in the evening and I did not see any shenanigans at all. Yes there are other amazing roads in the area but the Dragon is pretty cool in my opinion. But beware, there is no one there taking...

Can we legalize lane filtering yet?

It seems that half this board is against filtering in Ontario... let alone politicians that don't even ride. Gotta convince the bikers first.

    Bicycle Lanes

Thank you for clarifying. I got a new job right downtown and I am just trying to figure out the best way to deal with traffic without breaking the rules too much. I think switching to a different shift time will have to be the answer to avoid rush hour.

    Bicycle Lanes

What is the offence for using them downtown during rush hour traffic? Also what about riding the white line on the outside of the cycle lane? Kind of like splitting between the bike lane and the car lane?

    Getting stuck behind a Harleytrain

This is exactly why it was so frustrating. We are talking about vehicles that are doing 15 mph (25 kph) below the speed limit through the most epic curves that I traveled 1000 km to get to. I'm not saying they don't have the right to do this, but please be respectful to other road users who are...
