This is my first season, and I wanted to know what the best practice is for taking corners where you cannot see the curvature ahead of you (view blocked by climate for example).
Am I to stick to the left tire track all the way through?;
Or,
Do I use the rest of the lane to take the bend?
Agreed.
The reason I asked such a question is because 18 months after I received my M2 will take me into Winter next year.
I was hoping to do the course and test in the fall next year then go to the ministry to have my M issued when the 18 month waiting period is up, which would be late...
I understand that. That's what I was trying to get across in the question: can I take the course including test before the waiting period is up, then once the waiting period is up, go to the ministry and get issued my license?
This is possible for the M1 to M2 course + test.

You do have to supply your own bike, do you not? And if that the case, why would the others buy a bike, and not ride it since they got their M2 (5 years)?

Is the waiting period to do the M2 exit test 22 months from the date you received your M1 or M2?
Can you take the M2 exit course and test before the 22 (or 18 with course) months is up, then go to the ministry later and pick up your license officially?

I am a noob as well and have found decent deals at altimategear.com and daytonamotorsport.com. Both have storefronts in Toronto, and you can order online. The guy at Altimate Gear is good to deal with, and there are is a good looking woman's line.

Also, would a KLR650 be too powerful and/or expensive on insurance for a noob?
Thanks for the reassuring input and info.
My inseam is about 30".
I'm looking at a Yamaha XT225 or something in the 250 cc range, preferably $3500 or less used, seeing as it's my first bike.
I'm new to riding and researching new gear.
I feel visibility is very important.
My question is high-viz yellow better than red?
Personally, as a driver I find it hard to see road workers, etc wearing high-viz yellow on sunny days, unless their shirts or jackets are outlined by a darker...
I am new to the sport and this forum. I did the M2 course and now I'm looking for my first bike.
The instructors said I would do best on a "standard" bike.
On my hunt for beginner bikes, I have come across Suzuki GZ250, Yamaha Vstar 250, and Honda Rebel. These unfortunately are more of a...
