    Best Compliment?

Usually I get the little kids giving me waves (I wave back, they are all too cute). Chicks giving me the rear view mirror checkout and once, I was in the left lane and she pulled up in the right lane and poked her head and shoulders out to check me out...I was in my usual full leathers and...

When I push my bike with engine off

It sets a real bad example for those that don't have the experience and control of their bicycles like younger kids. I don't know how many times over the last 30 years i've had kids blindly ride through an intersection in front of me at full speed not looking and thinking their right of way...

When I push my bike with engine off

I'm sure you're aware that riding your bike across a cross walk is illegal? I have always behaved like a vehicle in this case. I turn like a car and just move to the right side of the lane as I turn looking for cars that are turning right from the oncoming lane. I'll take the turn wide to give...

When I push my bike with engine off

When I ride a bicycle I do almost always and when I do bend the rules it's not flagrant and possibly life threatening. It's the act of considering yourself above all the other road users that gets me. If you are held up in traffic because you are in line in the left turn lane and it's moving...

When I push my bike with engine off

so do I especially downtown it ticks me off all the time and i'm a long time bicycle rider as well. The ignorance of bicyclists in the downtown core is stunning wrt traffic rules and their bicycles. I can guarantee that most of them have no clue they are considered a vehicle just like a car...

    I Saw You: V.2.0

She is, but not on much (for obvious reasons and she sounds like a real busy person). Amazingly she does all the work on her bike herself which is rare these days and awesome. I know a few women who do and definitely give them  for that.

    I Saw You: V.2.0

Yeah, i'll be looking into getting a decent set. We'll see how the repair goes. Btw my neighbour is the inventor and partner in the company that's producing the "Shredder", take a look on youtube for the vids. I'm dying to take it for a test ride.

    I Saw You: V.2.0

Mongol777 neither do I but as with all things, there are the odd times that it's not perfect but as I mentioned in my previous post the metal attaching the rod is maybe 3mm at best and given the mileage on the bike this may have happened without the clutchless shifts being part of it. Funny...

    I Saw You: V.2.0

true, i'm also lightly preloading, but I suspect the joint for the 250 wasn't made for that the rod itself that's pressed into the pedal is maybe 3 mm at best, so given the usual stress of shifting with the added shift pressure from preloading I guess was too much, note though it gave out at 32k...

    I Saw You: V.2.0

With the clutchless upshift I preload the pedal up a little before I tap the throttle. If you don't preload the pedal you wind up with the added complication of timing the engagement in the short window of when the engine comes off the throttle for that half second. The faster your wrist flick...

When I push my bike with engine off

I do believe you become a pedestrian, much like a pedestrian pushing their bicycle across an intersection (which you are supposed to do as riding your bicycle across an intersection in the crosswalk is considered the same as a motorized vehicle using the crosswalk which is illegal). Whether you...

    I Saw You: V.2.0

Last night around 5:45pm shifter linkage broke on west bound 401 from 410 South. Parked it, helmet on the ground as I looked for alternatives. Several bikers passed no one stopped, then a yellow SV pulled in from 3 lanes over to lend a hand. A great big shout out to Shawna :angel8: for...

    Crusing RPM? Downshifting vs. braking?

OP as others have stated the concensus on blipping I'll say I am fine with blipping the throttle and do it instinctively all the time. I also double/triple tap my brakes as I stop as a wake up as well. When traffic slows and I lift off the throttle i'll give a single tap of the brake to warn and...
