Very true, I rode to Grand Bend and Goderich a few time, about 250km one way, and the SS isn't the most comfortable. Power vs. Comfort I guess, take your pick :)

I say go for the zx6r, I was in your position a few years back, had a ninja 250, wasn't sure about upgrading to a 650R or a SS, I went with the SS instead and got a R6, I love the power and control, never rode a 650 before but I don't regret getting the R6 one bit.
