so i adjusted the cable, with minimal play in the lever. Took it out for about an hr and everything seemed okay; However, I will replace the cable soon as everyone is suggesting.

yeah, thanks guys. definitely going to order oem, like aforementioned i'd be better off with expensive oem than cheap chinese when the new one comes in i am going to save the one i have now as a winter project to learn how to fix and paint this abs plastic stuff.

that thing is beautiful! i've just finished fiberglass resin patching the cracks. definitely going to be a winter project for street fighter! just need to save up for exhaust system and new lights!
