ya well my red is faster comment was probably obviously a joke but last year i had considered getting an R3. I was at first going to get the red one
but i saw the blue bike in person and loved it so i would probably have got the blue one. But then Honda announced the NC coming to Canada with
DCT...
yes. the OP did say he took it to a dealer. Is why i asked which one. Was not a google search. Was links to shops i know of.
As for International. you are right. i was actually thinking of Imperial Motorcycles.

While i know they not Yamaha. The mechanics at...
What dealer did he take it to?

But why can one not get a better understanding of threshold braking on an ABS bike? Do you have to treat an abs bike braking like an on/off switch? Who just clamps on the brakes as hard as they can with an abs bike? Is it not better to learn threshold braking on an abs bike? especially for a...
crap year here too. I only ride on weekends and this year i am about 4500km. Got the bike in mid April. To compare, in 2014 i got a NC750S at the end of March. I put the bike away on November 01 2014 and had over 12k km. Was a great summer that year.
holy crap. just checked the Yamaha Canada website. Just about all the 2017 models either come with ABS or u have the option (R3).
About time Yamaha!! FZ07 ABS same for FZ09.
According the the highway cams as of this morning looks like most of the snow is gone The very first time i went thru there it was on my CBR250R
i had in 2012.
It was at the end of May, was not too warm down in Hope .. around 14C but was probably 5C up on the "hill". There was still snow off on...
As in the TV show, Highway Thru Hell. Winter strikes the mountain passes early. Hope no one was on their bike in that. Tho you have to be nuts riding
there after October 1. The latest i have been thru there was mid September and it was damn cold. I was in Merritt and it was warm. Decided to...
i thought the rule was that you also had to include full retail for every add on part plus have to pay for every tank of gas he used plus all service done. Plus you have to pay seller for depreciation costs.
and of course the lowing kit that you probably have to remove for extra cost. Ya, buy...
oh and as for the Spyder being safer. yes it will stop you from doing a low / high side but other than that you are still exposed to the elements. The risks are the same as any bike (no seat belts / air bags / steel cage around you compared to a car) And twisty roads are actually more dangerous...
there is a great review of the FZ07 on YouTube by "Cager on Two Wheels". It is a 2 part with part 2 i find hilarious. He really pushes the bike and shows just how fast the bike is. He is i believe in Portugal (the bike models in Europe are the MT07) I find the beginning of part 2 funny. He was...
Agree with what you say about the Spyder. I would rather get the new Mazda MX5 (They did away with the Miata name) As for the NC. I disagree. Well yes what you say is true about the standard NC. I had a 2014 NC750S and the 6500 rpm red line got annoying at times. Kept bouncing off the rev...
if you thinking about an auto bike, i recommend looking at the Honda NC750X .. fantastic bike. And it not CVT but dual clutch. Up and down shifts on its own and does it quite well.
yes MacDoc that may be true that probably nothing bad would happen. Except if it happens to go flat on a mountain pass in the middle of no where and no cell phone coverage. I would rather pay for a new tire.
Does not take long to get into an area like that from Vancouver.
So today i headed to...
For my peace of mind when ever a tire gets any kind of compromise to its structure i vote to just replace it. While sure the cost for a new tire is more compared to a patch.
I look at it as cheaper in the long run compared to a tire failing and causing a wreck. The damage to the bike and worse...
Was out cruising around on Friday. Having a great time. A few hours into the ride as i was going slow in traffic i felt a bump bump bump enough that i felt it in the handle bars.
Put it down to just ruts in the road as when i went faster it went away. Even so, when i stopped shortly after had a...
