thanks. really happy with the bike. put it away Sunday with just under 400km on it. Slowly working at shrinking the chicken strips. Not used to 180 tires. sure are wide.
About the only annoyance so far is the gas gauge. It hits the last segment way too early. Got to last segment and topped it...
in the case of left turners. Something to watch out for. Lane position scenario, you are in right lane. A car / truck or SUV is in left. You are staying back so you are not in blind spot. If there is a small gap in traffic behind you, the left turner will see the gap and shoot into the...
So got to dealer right when they opened (0900). My bike was inside waiting for me. Of course the weather said it would be sunny (was raining). Friday they said it would rain and it was sunny.
Great job being wrong all the time and still get paid.
Love the bike. Reminds me of my old 250 (in...
yes. redline was kind of annoying but the DCT made it a bit more tolerable. still kind of boring and tractor-like.
got a text message from dealer today. Bike is out of crate / assembled and ready to go for Saturday. Glad i went with the red colour.
thanks all. will take more pix on NBD. It was a hard decision on the NC but in the end for the riding i do the FZ is about perfect.
been looking the last few weeks and last Saturday i pulled trigger. I was going to get the red one but the blue one looked nice too.
But i stayed with the original...
Decided to sell the NC750X and get a 2017 Yamaha FZ-07
Do not pick it up until Saturday but dealer sent me a picture of my new bike :)
heh. yes still in the crate. love NBD
This time of year with most bikes being in storage for several months, The first time you start it, in order to get the winter oil circulating quickly you must immediately
rev to redline for at least one minute. Just make sure you are in neutral before you do this.
a WTF moment. At first i thought the picture was upside down. But no. This is how he is selling the bike?
Willing to negotiate. Wants it gone. Here is an idea. Pay a junk man 100bux and maybe they will haul it away for you

i wonder about "I did not get to start the bike as no battery was installed." and
"Stored in climate controlled garage during winter/battery trickle charged"
so why take the battery out? Battery Tender has a quick connect lead you attach to battery so you never have to remove the battery.
sux about the schools. Here they provide a road ready / licensed / insured bike for you to use during the course. And looking at the Ontario license requirements, (MTO)
you have to go thru graduated license twice? (G1 G2 M1 M2) if so, sux to be in Ontario :)
dont they have motorcycle training schools there? Here in BC if you take a course they let you use one of their bikes on the road test.
Here, you can have a full motorcycle license in a month. We have a similar graduated license program and it does take 3 yrs to get out of it but
you only have...
ha ha, very funny. I do not think a $62000 320hp litre bike is noob friendly.
But if a cruiser is what he wants to get eventually. The Kawasaki Vulcan S would be a nice choice.
I figure this seller is off by at least $1000. Lets see buy his 3 yr old Grom for 3250 or a brand new 2017 for 3499 or the Kawasaki Z125 pro for 3399.
Basically he is selling this bike "like new" for msrp less the freight and pdi. I figure when you ride off the lot, you lose 25% then factor in...
as for getting the bike from Vancouver to Kelowna. good luck with that. It is 5 hrs one way in good weather. This time of year the mountain passes deep with snow.
This is what the Coquilhalla highway ( highway 5 "Highway Thru Hell" ) looks like today
well having owned (own) both the NC750S and now the NC750X, The low red line does get annoying on the standard NC tho it seems similar to a cruiser which also have low redlines.
You can get used to it. For commuting it is great but I find the DCT much better with this engine. You have a choice...
