    Cheap leather suits any good?

I've seen riders with these kinds of suits totally blow them out at the seams causing nasty rash and injury. And while not going fast at all. Would suggest only going with recommended brands. Personally I'd only ever change to another Dainese.

    RIDER'S CHOICE @ Shannonville - May 23rd

Hey thanks! Sarah and I were admiring your setup :) Had to bring the 'b' bike, stock with street tires. Struggled to find grip around turn 5, but still was a lot of fun with the everyone out there. On the "old" 600 I usually run under 1:10. Sadly I'll miss the 6th but hope to see everyone...

    Total Control, Racer5 or FAST?

FAST has 250s, SVs, 650Rs and 600s. Can't speak for the others, but FAST definitely improved my street skills, and was a major help doing track days at Shanny and faster tracks, like Mosport.

    RIDER'S CHOICE @ Shannonville - May 23rd

Yeah, got at least as much track time in as a full day with 3 groups. Weather was great after 11am, even the wife got a sunburn!

    HF trailer Review/Advise.

I have the larger size, 1.98" axle. Kind of surprising because it is a pretty light trailer. The stock grease fittings broke off when I originally tried to use them. The RD fittings are much better but really are only plugging the hole, since you apply the grease directly into the front of...

    track bike wanted

Hi Mike! What bike did you ride at FAST school? Whatever bike you find, feel free to post it up to see if anyone knows it. It's a small community and people are always willing to help out! I'd second the decision to go with Dave's SV as a serious option (actually don't know why you would...

    HF trailer Review/Advise.

Yes exactly. So to be more specific, change the grease fittings and then forget about them. The Bearing Buddies let you apply grease through a nipple on the front of the hub, and as it uses a spring loaded plate you can get a sense of how much grease is getting put in. Also nice to know it is...

    HF trailer Review/Advise.

Not at all. I've been using my folding trailer for 2 years and over 20 TDs and you can free spin the wheels forever. I would re-check the bearings and install bearing buddies, available at Royal http://www.royaldistributing.com/Catalogues/Main/2013-Fall-Winter/page286.html I've also noticed...

    Pirelli Dragon supercorsa pro tires?

The Dragons have been replaced, and are not on the market any longer. I'd check the date on the sidewall, if they are too old you may not have the grip you are expecting. Great for the street, but I'd be wary if you push it at the track. John.

    RIDER'S CHOICE @ Shannonville - May 23rd

I'll be there, will be tuning my suspension and bedding in new brake pads. RC always has several control riders available, but I'm happy to show you around the track too. #925, just come up and say hi! See you there, John.

    BIG collection of GSXR parts

Looks like a Slingshot of some sort, with aftermarket paint and windshield. The RR version never had the decals in that location either.

The Beginner's Guide to Ontario Track Days

Well as they say in racing, timing is everything! :lmao: Lol. Yes, I see your points... Definitely riding SMP Pro/Fabi at the same average speed as, say, TMP, would make it seem underwhelming. There are a lot of variables to consider and probably no one answer to the question. I'm coming from...

The Beginner's Guide to Ontario Track Days

Shaman, thanks for this. Very comprehensive and always good to look over pre-season, even for someone who has been doing these things for years! One thing I often see people asking about is what track is good for the beginner, intermediate, etc. Although every track runs beginner to advanced...

    Anyone taking a track school?

I'd love to complete the series with a FAST Phase 3 course, preferably in the rain!

    Matt @ Rider's Choice - AMAZING PRICE/SERVICE!

RC's prices are very competitive already and they have a Club Riders Choice membership that costs nothing and saves you another 5%. They carry a select line of high quality gear (that'll probably last longer than your bike) and may seem expensive if you're not comparing against the same or...

    Matt @ Rider's Choice - AMAZING PRICE/SERVICE!

Mina, congrats on the suit! I have the same, actually closer to mid-range vs. entry level. Has some very nice tech that is beyond what others can offer. Rule of thumb is to shop at RC last. You'll understand why! Agree with Fili-mac, RC trackdays are easy going and totally fun. It's great...

    Who's Going Racing?

Hey Sunny! Miss you! Great vid, thanks for sharing! Of course being a new old guy I'll have to take you up on showing me the lines as you did at TMP! Planning on coming down for a track day with hopes things look positive for a race weekend at a later date. Will be in touch!

You notice very bad body position on trackday... Do you say something?

Coaches in most sports try to change the one thing that will lead to the most improvement, rather than pepper the person with a list of things they are doing wrong. Sometimes several things clear up by only addressing one problem. So at the very least I always suggest to get a control rider to...

    Who's Going Racing?

Hey Richard! It's going great, and just got my rear shock back from some guy named Corndog, apparently he knows a bit about this kind-a-thing... :notworthy: So with finally being able to dial in the suspension properly things could be quite positive this year! Will be a "see-how-it-goes" kind...

    Who's Going Racing?

Thanks Richard for selling me that bike! LOL. But I'll be running it at RACE again this year, hoping for more podiums. SOAR is a strong possibility next year if all goes well with business. John.
