    Picked up a Honda Fury...!

There are some Fury's on Kijji, you should check out, make sure you get one that is Canadian not US, as the US ones have ECU limits on them due to their EPA Regulations, I just found this out after I bought mine and was on the Fury Forums. Those guys are getting their ECU flashed to remove the...

    Picked up a Honda Fury...!

Ya after some research and hearing these kind of horror stories of HD, I said I don't want a High Maintenance Garage Queen, I ride my Hondas Hard and they love the Hard Love I give them :)

    Picked up a Honda Fury...!

Ya I know, I'll probably not sell this bike, I keep my bikes for long time, by the time I'm done with them they are usually not worth much. I'm keeping my 04 VTX as a winter bike, it's got close to 80 k on it and looks as it been through Hell then Timbuktu & back. I may not do the ECU, and...

    Picked up a Honda Fury...!

So after all the debating and deep thinking I went back to my most reliable machine, yes the Honda. Picked up a 2013 Honda Fury with only 7k on it, well taken care of in 9.5 out of 10 condition. Love the look and ride it's a red frame on red bike, and the fact this is same bullet proof die...

True...but not the Kamikaze I'm looking for.....

    Fury, Crossbones or Thunderbird Storm

With the Fury being the same engine I currently have, with exhaust and air intake change I think it be similar to the power I have, and running 1st gear into 60-70 km no sweat and 2nd all the way to 100 to 120 km, too bad they don't make the Fury in 1800.

    Fury, Crossbones or Thunderbird Storm

So this week-end I did a test ride of the 2018 Indian Chief, at Peak Power Sports in Oakville. The model I've been eyeing is the Dark Horse, but they don't have demo model for that but the sister bike Indian Chief that is exactly the same minus the matt black. I went out with the sales man...

    Fury, Crossbones or Thunderbird Storm

Yep did sit on the one from Barrie and the guy was against giving it out to test ride, so he said I can second up with him and we did, the ride was good some local and bit highway. Both have Vance & Hines Pipes on it, what do you mean by A/C and Tuner?

    Fury, Crossbones or Thunderbird Storm

Not a big fan of the look of the Scout, If I could I would get the Indian Chief Dark Horse,,, Now that is a mean looking bike...but can't find many in that price range here, I do see one currently in asking $15,000, with only 10,000 KM but the guy is in BC.... kinda tempting....Damn it you...

    Fury, Crossbones or Thunderbird Storm

So a few updates. I'm leaning towards the HD Bones now for the 2 following reasons. 1) Never owned anything other than a Metric, except for a 1998 BMW R1200C briefly a few years ago and sold it due to issues that kept coming up and got tired of wrenching on it. 2) This left the decision...

Sturgis 2018 who wants to go?

Sturgess and Dragon 2 different creatures crowds, don't think they impede or effect each others events, that much, sure you may have a few overlapping but not significant to make a difference. I do agree wit OP, if your not interested don't trash this thread with derogatory comments, it should...

    Fury, Crossbones or Thunderbird Storm

Hi Iceman, have you tried the Fury? and the others, I've tried the Storm and Crossbones, years ago on a Demo day, The Storm had an insane amount of Torque, the Cross, not so much and I didn't get to push it as it was group ride demo. The Storm I was able to take on it's own on the highway and...

    Fury, Crossbones or Thunderbird Storm

I know, I also first thought the Fury was an out dated chopper, but it slowly grew on me, and I love the one with red frame and black tank or white. As mentioned you can't kill a Honda....is my number one reason for this. If I could only get the HD look with the Honda Bullet Proof Build...Now...

    Fury, Crossbones or Thunderbird Storm

Thanks once again Nakkers, You have definately shed some much needed light on this for me for sure, as I don't personally know anyone with a Harley and the ones I see on the street look super shiny like queens. I once bought a 98 BMW R1200C, it was laden with issues creeping up now and then...

    Fury, Crossbones or Thunderbird Storm

Thanks for the input Nakkers, I looked into the cam tensioners more closely seems like its something I can handle if needed, as it's pretty accessible, and straight forward. The only thing about the Bones that is making me double doubt is the extra costs of maintenance or break downs, and...

    Fury, Crossbones or Thunderbird Storm

So did some research on the Cam Chain tensioner, seems like most sites are saying this is an issue with the 1999-2006 engines and after that they went to Hydraulic to get rid of the springs. Here is a link that talks about this: https://www.lawabidingbiker.com/73/ I Googled "Crossbones and Cam...

Nice to know, any idea on the KM part like how much can this HD motor do before it needs any adjustments and costs associated with it.

    Fury, Crossbones or Thunderbird Storm

Thats the thing about HD that makes me hesitant, I don't want to get into having the motor opened or boring the engine and all, just like to do the outside maintenance. There is a Crossbones with close to 60 K km on it for around $12000, it's got I need on it, saddle bags, aftermarket...
