Interesting, I never thought of this, I have the RAM mount on both my bikes, I've been using it for over 2-3 years on my iPhone 6 with out any issues, done a few US trips where the phone would be on for hours using the GPS, but never had any issues. I think the RAM mounts hold the phones...
Last week on Friday, I woke up and the temps were -13c, weatherman said the temps will rise and go to -1c by afternoon, well I couldn't resist, bought my beast out and started warming her up. From the garage I looked at her and one of my favorite quotes came to mind by Albert Camus regarding...
Rode into work this morning. It was -4c and with windchill around -10c.
Commute from deep Scarborough U of T Campus area to Yonge and College. Hit 120 km a few times. With rush hour traffic my commute time is usually 45 minutes to 1 hour.
So tested the Fired Up X liners out today...
Another ride into Downtown today, balmy 4c leaving, but gonna go down to 1 or 0c by 5 pm, no problem as long as there is no rain. Which is unfortunately is in the forecast for tomorrow...so will have to ride the rocket tomorrow :(

Rode in today to work, was a pleasant ride in with some flurries when hitting downtown. Glad I rode in was debating at -3c then remembered the long term forecast looks pretty grim from tomorrow, hopefully the weather man is wrong again.
Could have rode into work today,,,but the weatherman says rain is coming this afternoon. I hope it does rain now otherwise I'm gonna be ****** as I believed the weatherman. It said it was 80% POP. Usually below 30 I take the chance.
The Kick Start!!....Ahhhhhh.....those sweet days of my teens and twenties....
I wish we had the option of having a starter and a kick start as well. I also grew up with kick start bikes and love the feel of kicking the damn thing and hearing it roar to life.
The exhilaration and heart...
Yep streets looked super slick, almost as there was a light coating of ice, you just need to ride extra cautiously, I felt my rear tire slide a wee bit at times.
So rode into work today, it was around 1c when I left, had the VTX idle for 5 minutes with the choke on. She starting running smoothly a few mintutes into the highway . The traffic was light on 401, just a bit of bottle neck at entrance of 401 and DVP until past Yorkmills exit and then free...
Your bike must have the same stuttering issues in the rain I assume. I would never put these exposed air intakes on bikes anymore. They are great for people of have Garage Queens and only ride on nice sunny July week-ends, but for daily commuters or all season riders they can be nightmare in...
My carbed VTX 1300 hates the below 5c and takes a good 15-20 minutes of riding before the engine warms up and rides smooth as it can be below 5c. Starting up is no issue as long as you have a trickle charger connected over night to the battery. I've got 2 battery tenders for both bikes on...
