My point was Mr Walczak's first one. Ride down on the weekend and be ready to ride it on week days. Hardly any traffic on the Monday we rode it.
Also since you're so close ride the Cherahola Skyway.
I'm trying to get my digital dash set -up (Acewell 3700) and I would like to know where redline is on the standard DRZ tach. I'd also like to know where the rev limiter kicks in.
Right now the shift warning flashes around 6500 and it's quite annoying.
Thanks.
I did the same thing and then took it apart enough to understand how they're tied? sewn? woven? whatevered. Then made my own using the beads and fishing line. Works good and it's cheap. There IS a reason cabbies all over the world use these.
Ignore Macdoc wood works just fine.
Just google great roads in PA. There are a few websites devoted to good MC roads. They have them in handy categories - twisty, sweepers & scenic. There are a ton of good roads and neat things to see. 125? or 129? south from Shamokin is good for one but there are many others.
Lots of neat stuff...
I printed out the user manual and I'm still confused. They list differnet tire sizes and the coresponding circumfirence. My wheel is 21" (the rim) but the outside diameter of the tire is 28" (the part that actually hits the road). They don't list a 28" wheel.
I would think speed and distance...
The Zippo lighter museum in Bradford is neat (and free) but easily skipped if you're pressed for time. However Bradford is pretty close to the Kinzua bridge collapse and that is worth the time penalty (and it's free too).
1) A tennis ball with the top cut off, fastened to the bars with a piece of sponge stuffed in it is great for cleaning bugs off your glasses / visor on the fly - just add a bit of water to keep it moist as required. The sponge also works great for mopping off rain drops or heavy fog. Stole that...
Not sure how it happened but the acewell 3700 digital dash on my DRZ400 has some how become uncalibrated if you will. The speeds displayed are now way to high compared to what they should be.
Is there a way to reset this unit?
I found the users manual online and it goes through the set up...
2 hours of slabbing on the DR before sound like no fun.
If you want to ride to the folks and meet me in St Marys that's fine. If you have a trailer you could leave it here as well.
If you want to try with the Vstrom I'd wade into the puddles to help you if need be. That's how the last trip...
The master cylinder can be a pain. If the bore is coroded you may have problems even with a rebuild kit. That said there must be lots of MCs that would fit that bike at the salvage places. A brand new after market MC is only about 80$ and they come with the built brake switch which allows you to...
