That first 1000km on a new bike disappear so fast, I booked by first service appoint the same day I picked up my ZX6R. The next week I was back in to see if they could squeeze me in earlier than my scheduled appointment LOL.

There are a couple of us at work who rode in today. At lunch we were all like WTF? It was done here before 1pm so I never got wet when I took lunch at 1:15pm. THough this is the first time my bike has seen rain or wet roads.

GREAT ADVICE. Safe for you and for others. The above posts are the basics. A good video to watch is Twist of the Wrist 2. It is for both seasoned riders and new riders. I watched it several times this winter and I found it really helped me starting my second riding season.
