I just remembered; Gerry, tall and lanky, was the NY instructor that told me I needed to drop the motorcycle a few more times; might be the same person I guess. He and another instructor who was an ex Suffolk county motorcop (in Long Island NY) were conducting the Advanced level II training over...
A cop was in the left lane, behind me, and I guess I was probably about 10-15 over. I moved over from the middle lane, indicating with turn and hand signals into his lane, passed the car that was ahead of me and moved over to the middle again. I ended up stopping at a light shortly after. He...
You'll enjoy it for sure. I'll be making it there for the advance level I, and probably II as well if I can squeeze it in. Let me know when you plan on making it there.
Thanks!! I'll keep you posted on when I can make it next year and we can make plans then. Etobicoke is a bit out of the way for me since I live in Markham. I can probably make it if I have a weekend free.
The drive is about 4-4.5 hrs from the east end and 3-3.5 hrs from the west end. I left Friday evening after work from downtown TO and got there by 8 pm. I had to deal with crappy rush hour traffic and took me about 5.5 hrs to get there. I'll be doing the advanced level I and II next year since...
Try the Rev'It zoom or summit H2O gloves. They come with a liner and are waterproof. I picked mine up for $90 when on sale. I think they're about $120 on revzilla. Great gloves but get stinky if you don't air them out often in summer.
Okie ... Time for an update.. C109Knight was bang on for most part. This course is not easy but it's not intensely diffcult, if you're willing to listen to the instructors.
First up this was a phenomenal course, but you really won't get upto riding like some of those videos until you finish...
good to know. I'm as comfortable as I can be with the friction zone on my bike for now. Unfortunately, the friction zone is quite narrow on mine. I'll be busy this weekend through to next week. If I find some time, I'll send you a note. Thanks.
Thanks.
I'd also like to add that I ride a Busa, and I think that most of the skills should be transferable to sport bikes as well. I'll post an overall review once I get back.
sigh!!!
What's the saying, "People living in glass houses ..."
your vs. you're
either vs. neither
Look up the usage.
Now that that's out of the way....What's the verdict, PC "V" or ECU edits ???
+1
I tend to do it only when there's at least a 2-3 car length space in the lane that I'm butting into.
I've seen this go down two ways -
If done at slightly faster than traffic speed, the car that you'll be pulling in front off will either decide to speed up and close the gap effectively...
uAn ashtray works, nless they're not allowed to smoke in the car, but decide to do so anyways. Easier to air the car out than freshen it every time I guess. Usually it's coz the better half has an issue with smoking in the vehicle.
But god help 'em if they have a nose like rafs.
