Having logged about 2 decent rides and a tone of quick jaunts on my new cruiser I can see how you can doubt your decision. However my jump from a current CBR600RR to a Boulevard 1500cc dressed cruiser is a lot more extreme then what seems to be your choice.
What I thought would be instant...
I have had great success with any of the Knox lineup. I have short pinky fingers and all the manufacturers seem to make them too long. SPeedworx/Racer5 normally has the best price on these.
CBR600RR = more refined over all personally feel better quality
GSXR600 = better bang for the buck more comfortable riding position for myself (6' tall)
Most police vehicles Speedometers are "Certified" and tested on a regular basis just like the radar/laser guns. FYI they don't have to give you proof roadside that's a myth.
Before you buy a suit do yourself a favour and go see Speedworx/Racer 5. Hands down the best suit I have ever tried on and really good bang for the buck. They are well tested and have many crashes on them with zero issues due to them being the ones they use in their school. Every year they...
Not as big as a squat at that weight...lol.
I have a close personal friend who regularly competes in power lifting. He has to shop at big and tall and last time we discussed it was purchasing 42 waist and having them taken in to a 36 to accommodate his legs...lol

Skinny legs and torso, broad shoulders what I would say is average or most common...lol (6' 33 waist, 180lbs)
I found the Tecknic stuff fit the next best which is what my two piece was.
Probably been scammed too many times...
I run a automotive based business and have been doing it for 10 years at this one company. In the last 3 years we have been defrauded over $10,000 through charge backs and paypal issues. Unfortunately it's a price you now have to pay to meet customers...
I never found a suit that fit properly until I tried on the Racer5 one which fit like a glove. Very little break in required on it also which was nice. To make it easy getting it on and off have a look at what you are wearing underneath. Personally i wear under armor and it makes it a million...
Thanks for sharing your story.
I always say "there are two kinds of riders: ones that have been down and ones that are going down". Unfortunately I have also been the latter and agree to try to be part of the atgatt club.
