The bike has just under 32k and everything works fine. I low-sided in Sept and repaired the damage, there is some rash on the right side and the price reflects that.
Priced for a quick sale.
$3000 firm for the bike (safety included). It's all stock except for a headlight mod and tail tidy...
I believe these were made by Sidi, they're pretty decent street riding boots. Been with me since new in 2005. VERY good protection and never let me down. I crashed last month in the Catskills and suffered zero damage below my knees. As you can see the boots took some wear from it. Bit of shoe...
Just itemize everything in a list, be as detailed as possible. If you give him a bill and make it clear you'll go through insurance if he doesn't cooperate, it should be enough for him to see that he has to pay up. If he questions anything you can get the backup documents later. Just get this to...
MG (formerly called New Enough) is a completely legit dealer, I've bought gear from them many times. And they do have the Shoei Qwest on closeout in most sizes. Closeout doesn't mean only odd sizes; the models or helmet graphics that don't sell well, eventually get heavily discounted. You just...
I never used these pants, got them by mail order and they don't fit me well. Note the size - these are for a really big guy. The outer pant is waterproof high-density textile, with lots of pockets and comfort features. Can be used on its' own or over your jeans, long johns, etc. It has armour in...
Scorpion EXO-400 'Scar' (Size S/M) full-face helmet Snell/DOT LNIB $70 obo
Like New in the Box. Used only for a couple of short rides by passenger. You would think it's brand new, have a look at the inside pic. IT STILL SMELLS LIKE NEW!
This is a very nice helmet, it's both Snell and DOT...
OP, do you have any medical benefits? See your dr and try to get some physiotherapy, you'll need it. Also try and stay away from sick people for a while...you may have noticed that coughing and sneezing hurts the hell out of your scapula.
Gov't employees are unionized, but also they're under a s**tload of audit regulations. The ability to fudge the system = the ability to defraud taxpayers, the way a lot of their systems are coded. There are people with lousy attitudes, sure, but you can't blame everything on that.
(can't...
Depends on what....I've had a Safety declined on Day 37. Went to two offices and was told tough luck. Some things are in the system and can't be overridden.
As I recall, my M2 exit was 18 months to the day...it was also the last day they were taking appointments that year (late Oct 2005). I think you're fine, if they ask you when you're booking it just tell them the date you got your M2, otherwise, say nothing. :D
Would be nice if the threshold braking convo could be split off from this thread. As the OP, the hard lesson from my crash is about staying OFF the rear brake in a panic/reflex situation.
Maybe duct tape, or some adaptation of the old racing pedal would cure it. (or more likely, some advanced...
You guys are talking about conscious decisions and optimal this and that. My situation was all reflex. I looked away for a second or two and when I looked back - I thought I was a nanosecond from plowing into my riding buddy. There was absolutely no conscious decision making, what followed...
No argument about brake modulation. But most of us riding on the street would give up the last bit of braking power and feel to have extra security. Most sport and sport-touring bikes lock up the rear wheel way too easily. Those of us with a programmed reflex to stomp on the foot brake in a...
