I've ridden in snow, it is no fun.
Thursday I rode to work, and got hit with the 20% chance of rain on the new bike.
Friday it was 60% chance of rain, had to go to work, so I figured the cage would do it. The 40% sun shone all day.
This weekend I gave up and did other things, and tomorrow too...
Polaris probably have the deep pockets necessary to carry this off. It will be interesting to see if we end up with Indian / Polaris dealerships which could help attract clientel.
I want a Ducati T-shirt, not an Indian one. I have never really understood the appeal of the brand.
GP Bikes told me April or May for Ducati's. Penninsula said May.
Budds BMW is taking appointments now, test ride day is the Sunday of the May 24 weekend.
The R1200GS is another on the list - I got lazy typing. Historically I thought I needed the extra weather protection of the R1200RT - and I find it a very comfortable bike, but have not rode one yet. I rode a R1200GS last year, doing about 2,000 km with a passenger around the Grand Canyon...
I too feel the need for a test ride, as I have entered - hopefully a long and protracted shopping period - for a new bike. This year's targets are The Triumph Tigers (800 / 1050, aka kitties), Ducati Multstrada and BMW R1200RT and possibly GS. My Trohpy was the result of a test ride - 4 or 5...
Personally, I am in favour of a standardized test that makes rational sense. Much better than the approach Denver tried at one time, which was all exhaust systems must be stock. What happens when you have an old bike and stock is non-existant?
'97 Trophy 900. Topbox, extended fenders, fork protectors, scottoiler and Corbin seat. The first seat didn't last too well.
And I agree, BRG is the fasted colour for them;)
