    AirBnB for motorcycle rental

Agreed. I may consider using this to rent when traveling, but would never consider renting out a bike through this program. Even if it was a bike I didn't care about, the impact on my insurance coverage and the liability risk beyond their minimum coverage makes it a none-starter. I can't tell...

    Back Protector or Full Vest?

It was a previous generation of this vest. Velcro waste straps look a little different. https://www.planet-knox.com/product/track-motorcycle-vest-with-back-protector/ Got it from Speedworx, but there's a similar thread in the track section and someone says Fawaz doesn't sell them any more...

    Back Protector or Full Vest?

I have a Knox back protector with a vest. There's no CE rating for the front, just some denser foam in the upper chest area. Never actually tested it for protection, thankfully. I like the vest because it fits nicer, stays in place better when putting leathers on and off, and stays in place...

Motorcycle Parking Fee 2015 – Response Coordination Thread

Thanks, Google Street view is your friend. When ever I go down for meetings, I always check small streets near my destination for mc parking before I go. I can't think of anything in the immediate area, but if you're coming from the east, try Toronto Street north of King. From the west, try...

Motorcycle Parking Fee 2015 – Response Coordination Thread

No idea about enforcement as I only park downtown when I'm there for meetings. I did notice that they have changed at least some signs from yellow to white. I guess that is to reflect that it is now an enforceable by-law. Next time any one of us sees a green hornet, you should point it out if...

Recommend a good stand alone back protector...

That's a shame. Glad I got mine when I did. I really like how it fits, and how the vest holds it in place better than straps.

Recommend a good stand alone back protector...

Contact Fawaz at Speedworx. He sells a Knox back protector with a vest. Holds in place better when taking your leathers on and off, and if you use it for street riding under textiles. https://www.speedworxsuperbike.com/gear-and-apparel...

Nothing on tomorrow's agenda. Next meeting, July 10, then nothing scheduled for the rest of the year because of the upcoming municipal election.

    Key West

One of the best meals I've ever had was at this place in key west. Enjoy! https://www.tripadvisor.ca/Restaurant_Review-g34345-d447631-Reviews-Blue_Heaven-Key_West_Florida_Keys_Florida.html If you take a convertible. Don't stop for lunch in South Beach Miami and expect to have the loose...

    Unmarked Police Vehicles

Hind sight is 20/20, but if I spotted an unidentified car following me like that I would: - not lead them to my home and let them know where I live; - call 911 on my Sena, report the following vehicle and claim that I fear for my safety - look to find a busy place to stop so that I have...

Supermoto track days at Grand Bend In 2018

I would love to come, but I just booked track days with friends at Calabogie earlier that week, so the timing doesn't work. I hope you get a few more numbers because later in the summer my time will be much more flexible. Good luck!

    Yorkdale parking island

Only parked there a couple times, and only for a short time. I prefer to go into the underground at the southwest corner of the mall and park in the striped area on the north side of the escalator glass box just before the exit gates. But I'm not there regularly, so can't comment on ticketing.

Yup, glad to see this officer going after something other than speeding in this situation. Hope he is successful at trail. I'm sure the rider's video will help, but will probably need the rider to testify to authenticate, etc. Hard to say which is the better deterrent, 1 guy doing something...

June 4th SMP Lapping - rain rain go away!

Mustard yellow here. Similar to Caterpillar dozers. We'll have to do some parade laps together, lol. With the cold and on-and-off showers I decided this would not be a good first day on a new-to-me bike. I'm booked for Pro6 Calabogie on June 17 & 18. Maybe I'll see you there. Go Yellow!

June 4th SMP Lapping - rain rain go away!

I'm planning on going, but keeping an eye on the weather. Final decision will be made Sunday early afternoon. This will be my first time back to Shannonville since doing Fast in 2012. Also the first time out on my own track bike, which I picked up last fall and worked on over the winter...

    Unmarked Police Vehicles

Speeding is the easiest thing to enforce and give evidence on in court. Assuming that the documentation and calibration is correct, its pretty hard to dispute. Predictable low hanging fruit compared to the more subjective offences where a cop has to be at the right place, right time and...
