Yeah, it's not the prettiest bike out there for sure. I think the FZ-07 is styled more nicely. That being said, I got to demo the 900 and it is a great bike. Comfortable and really fun to ride.

I'm looking at price point and what you get for your money. Both have unique motors, (ie. not inline 4), and both are nakeds. But the Yamaha blows away the small displacement Monster for less money...

I would take an FZ-09 over the 696 in a heartbeat.

Markham Outdoor Power is a great dealership---I highly recommend them. Just remember, this will be a busy time for any good place---they may be backed-up with work. Then again, they may not because this Spring has been so bloody cold.

++ 1 I don't think Honda can use the superior build quality argument any more.

Just wondering how much you were willing to spend? I don't have a Bandit or Katana to sell, but I did try and sell a bike last Fall. My ad was pretty detailed and had good pics, (- I guess my asking price was too high because it didn't sell). In my experience, I found a lot of buyers...

My favourite bike that I've ridden is the 2009 Yamaha R1.

I think this new vfr looks great, especially when compared to the styling of the old model. But it's still wrong as the motor needs to be vtec-free 1000cc. And maybe a more advanced/adjustable traction control system would be nice, too.

Unfortunately, I was too late to read the first post of this thread. But I did visit GP Bikes today. :) Every time I walk in there, (-I pass by when I'm in the area), I am always delighted by what I see. Beautiful European bikes, accessories, (-they carry Held gloves now), and friendly...

I concur. Moto Guzzi's are neat!

I'm not surprised that the CB1100 was your favorite considering your user name. :) Personally, I think the CB is very, very sweet ....I just can't stomach the price Honda wants for it. :(

That's too bad that you can't recommend them anymore--to each their own. ...but... I've been going there for years and if anything the dealership has improved since Ross left, IMHO.

I agree, the driving in Toronto is pretty awful---I'm glad I don't have to experience it too often. As far as using the merge lane goes, this lady was in the right lane, (-which goes to the south DVP), while I was in the left lane, (-which goes to the north DVP). She was waving at me to go by...
