If you can get the pipe out of the way , try using a small pipe wrench... It will get more that enough grip to twist the stud off again if it doesn't move, so be careful ...

I doubt it makes much diffrence as long as it is not exposed to excess heat, doesnt hit anything, you can access any adjustments and the hose is not kinked .

rtv silcone sealant is the least hassel . I use it on every bolt I take out that not critical ... critical stuff I use one of the loctites . .. I have never had an issue getting red loctite off without heat , even on small fasteners, but usually use blue.

I have charged many batteries with a tender JR. They put out .75 amps, so if your battery is around 10 -13 amp hrs , 10/.75 is 12.5 hours . (plus a bit because of ineffeciency ) . IT is really the best way . If you charge a dead battery from the scratch using the bike it can cause...

Perhaps you can find an old dusty shop that will rebuild it for reasonable amount. There are still a few craftman around with such skills .

If its the stock one , on a many bikes it takes less that 10 minutes to change .

2 oil filters, 2 oil screens and 2 oil pumps.. .ktm really wants to keep those things lubed .....
